Hotels in Portsmouth?

Hi All
Hope this is the right thread to post - if not, Mods, please feel free to move.

I need to find a hotel for one night for 2 adults and our 5-year-old daughter for July 16th, in the Portsmouth (PO3...) area.

We had got a recommendation from the venue, but buy the time we went to book, the family room had gone.

Can anyone recommend or suggest anywhere please.

Thanks in advance:)

We have just booked a family room at the Inkeepers Lodge at Portsmouth North for 20th July following a friend's recommendation. Its attached to a Harvester as well. Its a bit outside Portsmouth, but there is one more in the centre too which is attached to a Toby Carvery, but was slightly dearer!

Paid 29.95 for the night with complimentry continental brekkie, non refundable advance rate (bargain!)- or the flexible rate was £57.00. Not stayed at this one before but have used innkeepers lodge a few times without a problem!

    Make £10 a day June 103.04/300

You will be a stone's throw from Southsea. There should be some lovely bed and breakfast's in Southsea (try anywhere in Victoria Road South (Po1))plus you will be close to the pebbly beach and gunwharf quays and the Spinnaker Tower and the Historic Dockyard, museums loads of food places too. Enjoy.

Nb Etap is a bit characterless and in a not v nice location. Southsea is only down the road and much nicer.
Aiming for a minimal spend 2022

It was the innkeepers lodge that was suggested to us, sadly that's all booked up for the night we need. But will look out for it next time we are in Pompey. You are the third person to suggest innkeepers lodge, so it must be good. Thanks:)

etap is bulk standard but cheap and thats why i said depends on what they wanted from the hotel, some people purely want a stop over, plenty of lovely places to stay in portsmouth , southsea and surrounding areas, spoilt for choice really , i know i live there :)

    You are on my wavelength:)
I just want somewhere clean and comfortable to get my head down for the night.
Sadly the Etap couldn't accomodate the three of us (though, I'd happily leave Dh to fend for himself in a bus-shelter somewhere some nights;))
I got the Farmhouse innlodge, and got a wee discount (not much, but it helps) through my NHS discounts.
Now all I have to do is find a dress I like for the wedding:eek:

Thanks for all your suggestions folks, much appreciated

Sorry OP see you have already booked. There's a Premier next to Tesco at North Harbour. Ten minute drive from where you need to be.

To be honest if you find a PO postcode the furthest you will be is 30 minutes from anywhere in Portsmouth

I thought etap rooms could accommodate 3 people. I've just searched for a room for 16th July for 2 adults and 1 child and it offered a room.
