They may want to have bank statements, copy of utility bill...etc...it's a positive sign otherwise they would have said no straight away..

    Cheers.

I wonder why they want them, I'm on the Electoral Roll for ID purposes. :-S

Sutton - did you get an instant decision for the Silver Card?

Another thing with myself, I may have too much 'available' credit? Does anyone think that can put off potential creditors? Vanquis put my limit up to £2250 which I'd never ever use, too scary an apr:eek:
I've read to cancel down credit accounts and also read don't cancel they boost your score, so very confused.

Yea, i'm going to halt Littlewoods and Empire in their tracks. I keep getting limit increases. I'll ring them up and tell them not to increase them anymore.

Having too much available credit compare to your income will certainly not help you if you wanted to apply for another credit card, so if you have 1 or 2 accounts which you are not using, then might be time thinking what you want to do with them....

Thanks Sutton and Stephane, I find Shop Direct Group put limits up fast, I may get rid of one of their catalogues, then there is Marisota (JD Williams) I have a £2000 limit with them! Again hardly used, infact Santander (Evan's Card) may have been refused for too much available credit?

    Damn Sygma!!

I got referred for a My World card last week, so operation pester took place and they bloody declined me. I'm well annoyed :(
Sorry to hear you got declined mate.

Tell me, when did you contact the underwriter after you submitted the application? I remember NID saying that if you get in touch with the underwriter within a day or two, then it is possible for them to overide it and approve the card like many peeps reported on here.

Good luck with barclaycard inital application, hope you'll get it.

Hmmm...did you explained to the u/w the fact you have got a silver card from them a few months back? Maybe you were lucky to get the silver card? They do not check credit applications closely if it has been instantly approved online. I don't know mate.
