hi all.
i took a sky package out 6 months ago, this was done over the phone.
i asked for the basic tv package and free broadband, they told me i needed a bt phone line,so i set that up with bt. at 1st everything was fine, then about a week ago a woman from sky rang me at home, and told me shy was from sky and she could save me money on my broadband,i explained to her it was free so how was this possible, she then told me that i had been paying £15,00 per month on direct debit.
i was shocked and felt stupid for not checking the bank details before, when i did i realised i was paying for more than the basic tv package also, and upon checking the channels i found i was receiving sky sports and the movie channels,i never orded any of these.
i was so angry i phoned them and told them i was cancelling the direct debit and cancelling the package, and asked for a refund. i also put this in writing,to them, i am now getting emails telling me i cant cancel and still have 6 months remaining, and they would re tailor the tv package to suit my original requirements, which they can see on the account.to me this is theft, any idea,s. when the engineer set up the package he never connected the phone line to the sky box,to my wife to get a phone extension and plug that in.

Apart from the bank details which you say you never checked, you would have received monthly statements from Sky, these are very detailed, did you not check those either.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
