Lol, you must've read all the arguments I used to have with Niddy, too, then.

Ahh... those were the days :p

I never asked for the insurance though, so I really don't know how they are working it out! I just got a letter in the post with a policy number saying I'm entitled to it for a year, and a few months ago I got a letter saying it's been renewed for another year. As I said - I've only paid in £750 once or twice (if at all since this started!).

Maybe they are just confused because its new? I was told several times by the actual department that is running this (by phone) that existing credit card customers categorically cannot get the promotional APR. You get the 0.5% cashback and unlimited spending abroad, otherwise the limit and APR/promotional APR stay exactly the same. I hope you're right though!

Yeah I just got a clarity card as well which would be better cashback, but I don't think I spend £300 a month so is pretty useless to me personally in that regard (and I wouldn't have bothered had I known Nationwide were going to release this card - but then 2 fee-free cards can't hurt!).
The insurance is supposed to be inclusive, whether you want it or not (although you can then phone and opt out). Maybe because you are an existing customer they haven't enforced the T&Cs that new customers agree to? Following my complaint I got a secure message saying that insurance was active and giving me details of a block code to quote and that a letter had previously been sent out and they couldn't send another one.... I then got the original letter (dated 19th Jan!) yesterday! Valid from next week until 31/12 :D

Oh that's annoying if that's the case, hopefully they will put it through as 0%, otherwise I'll send my complaints in and let you know what happens!

Yea that's true, two can't hurt I guess!

Has anyone closed Creation cards? I closed my JJB one but if I login to online servicing it still appears to be generating (blank) statements. Surely it should just be marked inactive? Not sure how (or even if) it appears on my credit reports

Why didn’t I get sent a new card? Can I have one?
Some customers will not be getting a new card due to inactivity; for example the account may not have been used for several months. It is common practice across lenders not to reissue cards to inactive accounts.

Anyone with an Aqua card not used for a while, use it quick.. (better use mine!)

I haven't used mine for ages (and managed to lock myself out of their online system) but got a letter today saying I'll be getting a new card :rotfl:

You get a letter first then the card. I'm guessing the cards will come out towards the middle/end of Feb - since the effective date is 1st March
