mortgage company want bank statements

hi my mortgage company has requested i send them bank statements to confirm how much is going into account each month as we have asked for a reduced mortgage payment to be set up for us if i send them can i black out certain items on there that i dont want them to see and if i did would the bank statements still be valid for mortgage review i only want to do this as if my inlaws or parents want shopping done online i use my card to do this and they give me the cash and i dont want to have to explain every detail on my statements to mortgage company need to know if i can do this a.s.a.p please any help would be welcome:D

No you can't blank anything out on your statements - would be a bit pointless if they allowed that as people could hide things from them.

Yes it's fine.

They'd be delighted to make an assessment based on things being deliberately hidden from them.

My bank statements show figures at the side that say ' Money In £whatever' and 'Money out £whatever' - surely that's the bit they are interested in..? If that was visible..?
Unusual for them to ask for bank statements I think. Income and expenditure proof should be in the form of payslips, tax credit notifications etc and all your bills showing what you need to pay out.

jojo ive sent payslips tax credits ect but they still want bank statements

You don't have a choice if they are asking for statments and you would be attempting to hide information from them if you blanked some out.

ok i will just have to send a letter explaining some of the transactions do i have to send statements from my bank as i do not have paper ones i have internet banking so would i be able to print them off and send them?
i have asked my bank for them but was told they can take upto 21 days and i simply dont have that time limit i need to have them within next few days to get it all sorted

can i send printed ones from online banking or does it have to be from bank as i do not get paper statements and although i can request them it takes upto 3 weeks from my bank and i need to have them in the next few days
