Hello peeps!! :j
Having had a few nightmares with O2 I wanted to share with you. It includes mobile landline and phone and wanted your opinion.

Problems with broadband:
Broadband has kept disconnecting for a long time whenever someone is on the phone. Line very noisy but had problem since openreach changed to telephone pole outside. Anyway went through usual 1st to 2nd line. Couldn't get act together. 2nd line will not take call prior to 9pm and 3rd line closed then. 26 telephone calls and had a variety of answers from 2mb is the max spped I will get (!!) to line test failed will have to do another one (I checked when the line test was carried out and everytime assured me that everything was ok to be submitted to third line). I have been lied to, promised callbacks which never materialised, kept telling them about telephone pole - said not problems I'll pass that on but never did make it to the notes in my file. Finally resolved 6 weeks after problem was reported, Problem was a loose connection at the telephone pole.

Probs with online account access:
CAnnot access online broadband and telephone account, Although have full service from o2 and been billed by them I am showing up as inactive on their system.Again pushed pillar to post , differenct answers each time I ring up. I swear one guy just trasnfered me through to second line (who does not deal with these problems) because he was late for lunch. Anyway second line fobbed me off by telling me there was another username with all my account details. The logins were the same as my currrent but with a 1 at the end and the passwords were the same. Muggins me believed him and did not work. Called back only to be told phones could not be transfered to second line until 9pm (my call was at lunchtime). I kid you not 22 phone calls for this and still not resolved. A manager was looking into it and took my login details to monitor. Was expecting a callback two days later (last week) never happened. Gave me a £15 "we're sorry" credited to my account. Problem still outstanding resolution.

Mobile phone.
On a sim only 12m contract with o2. Paying £20/month signed up thorugh quidco last year so got £100 cashback. Renewal month I ask what is the best they could do for me. Again trying to fob me off with a deal that only existing customer could have - deal details exactly the same as available online. Anyway finally agreed that they would put £100 credit not on my next bill but one after that for me to carry on. Notes are on file but I'll have to call back later in the month as I was not due upgrade till then. Callback when asked, the deal is off as they have not been doing it for 5 months. They cannot improve on what they offer new customers. Take it or leave it scenario. Go through to retentions. Give my 30 days notice, agent ends up disconnection me straight away. He admits the mistake and said will reconnect me straight away. ASked if there would be a time delay between when I disconnect and reconnect. Assures me I shouldn't loose service adn that everything should be corrected immediatly. Hang up phone and sim shows inactive. 4 phone call later find out reconnection takes 24 hours and Wife pregnant due any day.

Any ideas?

Thanks and apologies for the long post

You might stand a chance of someone actioning your complaints if you used paragraphs.

Nobody likes (and few people read) great chunks of text like that.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Why don't you summarise it. I suspect no one will wade through all you have posted.

    Agree.

    Far too long and rambling.
Needs more paragraphs and to be succinct and to the point for anybody to bother reading

    Supersparky,
It looks like its a tough one but the posters are right and will help you, they are just overwhemled by lack of para,s,and volume of info etc.

Less is more, but I understand you are trying too give posters the whole picture, your effort alone shows its bothering you alot.

    Example- of less is more.
I went to small claims court with a friend and he overdid it with amount of info for the judge. He had so much paperwork, he could,nt find it in time.
When he started reading the judge just butted in and cut to the quick anyway, even when he thought he had condensed it on his main info sheet,he cut him short.
We never got paid in the end.But I learnt abit.

It is a task that gets better/easier with practice and the help on here,so keep at it ,don,t give up.

I've removed the duplicate post from the thread , just click on "edit" on your first post and change the format as required rather than delete it and start again
