    Hi Guys,
Still reading and hoping you all doing ok.
Im on new meds and I have spent the past week mostly sleeping. Im totally not compos mentis as have a fridge full of food and have totally over ordered my home delivery. Kids think its christmas! Unfortunately most of it is convenience stuff that kids can put in oven or cook quickly. I still live in the hope that I will get back to OS but it wont be for a few weeks yet.

Still being poorly does have its compensations in this weather. I am still in my fleeces and actually had a hottie to cuddle in bed. (unlike jackie G ;)) So everyone is complaining of the heat and Im just warm thank you.

I have DD home from college now and she is looking for a P/T job but no success yet. She is getting rather downcast but I keep trying to encourage her. DS1 has found himself a full time job over the summer and might be moving out if he finds himself a flat share. I tried to look suitably sad but the time has come for him to learn some life lessons and have his independence. Plus he wont wake me up at 4.30 every morning stumbling up the stairs:eek: We will see - I wont hold my breath. My other two boys are just fine at the moment. My two little doggies keep me going with their constant companionship so we just spend the day snuggled up together with the odd burst of energy to bark at the postman. I also have the problem with them eating the post/ parcels and we have a basket to catch letters.

Anyway I have mumbled on - hope i have not bored you too much.
    Lots of hugsx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Heard from Suntrap this afternoon, we have been given a stay of execution. We are to be allowed to run the garden using volunteers. What we need now are bums on seats preferably iwith some dosh and money to put in hand some of the repairs that need to be done......I am relieved to an extent but still have reservations.

Fridge freezer arrived is now freezing up nicely, will be transferring the frozen stuff back in the morning.........

Bright evening. It has been overcast all day, but its quite sunny now.......just had our spag bol for supper. OH is performing with banana fritters and ice cream, I can her a lot of muttering from the kitchen...............

Csarina is the Suntrap Garden at Hermiston? Saw a sign for it when we went through to Heriot Watt Uni. Glad it is staying open and hope you can find your volunteers and some money!

    Hi all,

Nothing much OS done today, apart from trying to be sensible in the supermarket & doing sums to see the best buys.DSons are out, prob wont see them till tomorrow when we go to watch the match at the pub.

In the morning we are taking the old banger to a Classic car show-its only a few miles away, which is good as we want to be away at lunchtime, as we need to feed the dog and spend some time with him before we go out again.

Just had our tea done on the BBQ,prob do the same again tomorrow if fine.Right, back off to join DH outside.Bought some Pimms at Mr.S,so will be having a glass.

Molly ,hope your meds settle down soon.
JC- glad things went ok at your meeting.

    Enjoy your evening.x

    Hi everybody,

Not a wonderful day here....very little sun but has been warm enough, took all clothes off line as there is to be rain to-morrow.

Went to Tesco this morning as had vouchers and needed some strong flour....Aldi/Lidl don't do it here and really need strong to make bread I find....made some lovely pizzas for dinner and have bread for to-morrow as well.

Feeling very virtuous as I picked all the gooseberries to-day (9 lbs) and 3 lbs of ripe red currants....am going to make jam with currants and some of the gooseberries, will also make a gallong of gooseberry wine....makes a Riesling type which if it comes out ok is very good. Got one ripe raspberry and see about 6 strawberries coming on, everything is late here this year I find.

Going to make the jam and start the wine in the morning, also make a pavlova as we are going to brother for BBQ to-morrow evening, might even make some elderflower cordial...not sure what's wrong with me, seem to have extra energy these days!

Csarina....hope that you did not have to pay to have f/freezer removed, there is an EU law which applies here ( and should in UK??) which obliges retailers to take the old electrical appliance for recycling....maybe its just an Irish law, wonder at us being ahead of the game though!

Have to water greenhouse, going to chance everything else to see if it rains to-morrow....how lazy is that!

Hugs to all in need or want.

I agree I think that price is extortionate to dig a hole no matter how carefully its dug.Today I went with my Uni class on a historical walk around would you believe Kensal Green cemetary. Its sounds odd but it was a very interesting day .The weirdest bit was when the guide took us all down into the catacombs which lie underneath ther,e in the mid-Victorian era a place ,or as they are called a 'deposit' cost £60.00 which was an absolute fotrune for many middle class folk, but today to assign yourself a place there would cost you £20.000 and upwards. It was the oddest place I have ever been in. There are rows and rows of filled ancient Victorian coffins in shelves as though they were stacked waiting for someting to happen They have been there ,many of them since 1832 onwards. Many are very delapitated, but as its only the outside wooden bits that fall apart, its o.k. as they are all lead lined.Part of the catacombs are walled up and unavaiable to view because of 'elf 'n'saftey' which is fair enough as the ones I saw wern't looking all that great to be honest.Facinating place though and the cemetary itself is full of famous folk who have gone to meet their maker.Apparently next week-end they have an 'open day' on Saturday with stalls and folk dressed up in Victorian costumes which is supposed to be quite spectacular.!!!
There are apparently over a quarter of a million Londoners buried there from the great and the good to the lesser mortals two members of royalty, lots of authors, playwrights and even the odd tart or ten. Sue, the lady who was our guide, was brilliant and told us all the scandalous bits about the folks who reside there.Well worth a visit if you don't live too far .They even give you tea and home-made biscuits after your two hour guided tour.
Afterwards we made our way back to Victoria and had a lovely late lunch in Bella Italia then the train home to Kent.I would highly reccomend it to anyone who wants a different day out and to learn a bit about the Victorian era.
Right I'm off to bed now so I hope that we do well in the footie tomorrow .Have a good day whatever you do and do be careful of the sun as its going to be a real warm one about 30c+ in the south
    Night, God Bless
