Good Morning!
Did someone say Mojitos?
My lovely husband came home at 1.30am and after a sleepless night

I have a bit of a headache. The boys are chuffed to bits to see their daddy, and he was bombarded with Fathers' Day this morning, and is feeeling very happy and settled.
I cleaned the loo and bathroom last night, and did the vacuuming etc., so there's not much to do indoors today. We are off to Ikea, which usually ends in one of us storming off in a huff, to get a new mattress for our bed, and OH will take the old one to the dump this morning. We also need to collect DS1's pressie from Argos, it was too big for me to manage yesterday, so he'll stick it in the van, it's a big goal with target net and rebounder. Just what I need, more football [STRIKE]cr4p[/STRIKE] stuff to clutter the house.
I need to make DS's birthday cake and do a picnic for tomorrow, so that will be tonight's job unless OH distracts me:cool:
Have a gorgeous day, hope you are all well, and happy. Hugs to you all.

Good Morning All
Sorry you have to work N9eav
Cranky (((hugs))) its the worst room to do but the best when its done.x
Sun is hiding at the moment, but its nice and warm with a lovely breeze so once I've finished on here I am going to clear the ironing basket, got half of it done yesterday so should be empty today. Mind you have already got washing on the line and another load in the machine.:o
DD had a friend stay over last night so she is very happy today, she is also out shopping later with another friend this afternoon.
Had a good day yesterday, cleaned the kitchen windows and blinds and the cooker hob & hood all horrible jobs out of the way for a couple of weeks!
Once the ironing is done today I will have a little relax in the garden with a book :jthen later we are having a barbeque.
Hope you all have a great Saturday & get to enjoy the weather.x0 -
Morning
Mojitos are my new favourite thing since mystery shopping a mexican restaurant last month
Our meeting with the people went well yesterday and they listened to what we had to say and we gave instances where the boys had been blamed for stuff and they said they could see that it was more of an image problem - that they hadn't been choosing their friends as wisely as they should and they were easy targets to blame. The guy is coming back on Monday to sign them up to a programme which will give them a better profile in the local community - possible doing some youth work in the community centre, which the boys are willing to do. They did say that they have programmes to suit low level anti-social behavourists/petty crimnials/drug takers but that the twins didn't fit into this so they are looking at a way of letting the [STRIKE]small-minded people with nothing better to do[/STRIKE] people who are quick to label them actually get to know them and see that they are hard working sensible lads who just want to be able to get on and make something of their lives.
So budget for the month has been reviewed, bills paid, online shop came yesterday, DH is working today - he had to get picked up at 6am....will be a shock to the system he didn't know there were two six o'clocks in one day :rotfl:
I have a couple of MS jobs this afternoon - one will get me and DD lunch...the other a toy for her (and one for the xmas stash).
Living room has been straightened, kitchen is ok....and DD has gone very quiet so I better go!Climbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

Really don't have to cook but I am going to make a Sundried tomato and parmesan loaf to take with us (It always goes down a storm) I made a big one yesterday and there is none left
DH and DS are out in the garden cleaning the patio so they are out of my hair
JackieG....... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Don't wear him out too soon x
Jc..... I am glad you are starting to get things sorted
I agree with you that there are too many petty minded people out there who should look to their own lives and leave others alone

Afternoon all
I am slightly fragile today _pale_ I had a great time at my friend's party, very drunken state of affairs :rotfl:. Luckily I only feel tired and headachey, not sick.
It's a beautiful day here, but I can't see me doing anything with it! I may just sit on the balcony, although it's a tad too warm for my hungover state to cope with at moment. I'm watching the F1 qualifying now, and then I have no other plans.
OS wise - WM is on and will go out to dry. I need to hoover but that will wait til later tonight.
Have a good day all

Afternoon All
Just come in from the garden - it has started to rain! Had to bring in my five loads of washing, at least mine and DDs bedding all dry and back on the beds already. DS2 arrived home some time during the night with loads of stuff from the flat. He and DD have taken two cars over to Edinburgh to get the rest and clean - good luck with that!! The only problem is they have taken my dyson and I feel like my right hand has been cut off. How sad am I? I like to give the place a run over with the hoover once a day and it's annoying me now!
N9eav, sorry you have to work and the funeral will be expensive, hope you give him a good send off.
JackieG - tut, tut!! (Just jealous really!).
JC, hope these folk see them as the people they are.
Hope you are all having a good weekend!0 -
JC - glad to see there is a resolution. Perhaps those small minded people would like to get out and do something for the community too rather than stirring up trouble.
JackieG - Enjoy hubby being home
Had a headache all day (wish I'd have been on the lash last night but sadly no) - think I slept too heavy and with the hot muggy weather it's not gone away. Done naff all today apart from mess about with the kids
I am sure that tomorrow will fare no better

Hi everyone.
N9eav - that does seem pricey, I work for a local council and we charge £200 to dig a grave, mind you that really only just covers costs.
Cranky, I remember the dust and lack of kitchen well. I seemed to be forever cleaning up horrendous dust and manage to knacker a Dyson.
Not a lot going on here - the heat seems to have brought on a bout of labyrinthitis so I'm taking it easy. DD is enjoying Glastonbury.
It's DS' birthday on Monday - 24, where does the time go?0
