I'm sorry but your source is wrong. The seats on BA's Airbus fleet (~70 aircraft) can be configured to either Club Europe or EuroTraveller. They slide sideways but do not move forward/backward.

The source isn't wrong it is British Airways! The airline that oprates the A319 aircraft!
I sympthise with you about changing the name and being charged the current price for the tickets. When it happened to us last year we paid for 2 names to be changed plus the current price of the 2 tickets which made it more expensive than if we had just made a new booking. I think easyjet should make this plain when the advertise the charge for changing the names on the tickets. Has anyone out there managed to beat easyjet on this issue

Nope the pitch isn't the same. Club Europe - 75 max x 2:3 @ 34 ins (86 cm) pitch
Euro Traveller - 35 min (126 max) x 3:3 @ 32 ins (81 cm) pitch.

The BA Club section has cupboards at the front for coats. easyJet don't, which gives more space for passengers and no squeezing.
