Hi- I just wanted to say thank you to the OP. I never heard of these machines and if it wasn't for this thread I'd still be a sneezing mess!!!
I mentioned it to my dh and he came home with one yesterday. I had been having red, itchy eyes and sneezing, etc. quite a bit yesterday. I tried the machine for the first time around 6.30pm and it was like a magic wand had come and zapped the allergies away. I could feel everything clear up and when I went outside that evening (a time when my hayfever really acts up) I was fine.
I used it again around 11.30 pm (the instructions say it can be used up to 4 times a day, 5-6 hours between treatments) and had an allergy-free night. Usually if I wake up during the night my throat will start itching and then my nose will start running, etc. and that didn't happen either. I used it again this morning when I woke up and I feel really good. I don't think I've sneezed since 6.30pm last night! :j
The only thing is that I do have asthma and it hasn't stopped me from having a tight chest or from being a bit wheezy but I think with the allergy symptoms gone that might improve as well.
Hopefully this will continue - I normally take Benedryl which leaves me drowsy despite it saying non-drowsy formula!
Kathryn
p.s. When using you the machine you might want to do it in private to prevent your OH from singing "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" as your nose will really glow!!!!! lol!0 -
Hi everyone,
I am glad to see this device has helped some people on here. I have been using it for 2 days now and here is my feedback on allergy reliever:
Immediately after use my nose stops running but it still feels slightly blocked. The effects for me are very temporary as in the symptoms return within an hour if I'm lucky. I have just used it 2 minutes ago and right now the runny nose is has stopped but my nose is still stuffy and I feel the symptoms will return soon. I used it last night before going to bed but I still had a runny nose. I am glad I paid only £10 for it as I certainly do not feel that it is worth £40. Maybe I am part of the 20% of people that it has low effects on, I don't know but I will continue to use the machine alongside taking tablets to keep my hay fever at bay.0 -
I've tried tons of things over the years.
Nasal irrigation, this light therapy thing, a white powder (can't remeber the name), homeopathic tablets, local honey etc.
and I'm afriad I always find medication works best for me.
I have found that Flixonase which is a nasal spray (not available over the counter and not the same as beconase) works really well along with ceterizine tablets.
Luckily I get free prescriptions on medical grounds (crazy system).
So I would encourage people to see their GP if they are still suffering.0 -
Just a note to say that there are 2 machine reduced to £10 but only one which can use spare probes - so if you hav 2 people wanting to use it, make sure you ask for the one in the blue box as you can buy replacement probes for that model.0

the one that you cant get additional probes for is the older model, still works the same just they have updated it a bit.
Also good to know the older one takes a 9v (square battery) and the one in blue box takes AAA
These are only on offer till tomorrow then they go up to £19.99 for the newer model and £14.99 for the older onewould love to win an ipad!

Went to try and buy from shop earlier to save the delivery charge and girl said all the ones near me were OOS. So ordered it online instead. Really hope it works, i was a snivelling mess this morning! The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Regardless, l also don't understand why people buy loratadine tablets, they've proven to be the most useless out of the 3: loratadine/cetirizine/acrivastine
The best for the whole day is: Cetrizine (long-lasting)
The best for immediate relief is: Acrivastine (short-lasting)
anyway whatever.
Cetrizine is mean't to make you drowsy more i was told...
Anyway everyone is different and you can get immune to the tablets if you take them over a log period of time...
i have found benedryl has done very little for me this year and yet last year it was a lot better...Loratadine used to react quite badly too and this year I don't...it all varies...0 -
i bought mine yesterday for £10 (staff discount added after). it seems to be working 4 me as ive not had to take a tablet since, and i suffer badly. I was told in the shop that they are extending the offer at £10 till next week.0
