  • I stick with my tablets thanks - don't believe this works at all, a lot of studies have suggested it's a placebo effect.

Regardless, l also don't understand why people buy loratadine tablets, they've proven to be the most useless out of the 3: loratadine/cetirizine/acrivastine

The best for the whole day is: Cetrizine (long-lasting)
The best for immediate relief is: Acrivastine (short-lasting)

    anyway whatever.

Loratadine is the only one I'm not allergic to.
Plus they do the trick for me, everyone is different n' all that :)

Just got mine in the post and did it for 3 minutes. So far no symptoms, nose was runny a while ago but doesn't seem to be running now. No sneezing feeling or red eyes( although eyes weren't red before). Looks like it is working but still it's too early to tell. Will do it a couple more times and I will stop taking tablets aswell just to make sure.

I can't believe it, this does actually work! I have suffered with hayfever my whole life, to me summer equals misery. Over the counter tablets are useless and if I take nothing I end up wheezing and having trouble breathing. I've been taking 180mg fenofexadine and this year they aren't working as well as usual. I first used the light thing on Sunday and even by the evening I noticed my throat wasn't itching. Woke up feeling better than usual too so I thought I'd go without my tablet today and took them with me in case I needed one. I didn't need one, I have less symptoms than when I take my tablets. On a scale of 1-10 my symptoms are now 2-3, before I would say 5-6. Considering a prescription is £7-odd, this was a bargain for a tenner.

Thanks so much for posting this offer :)

My worst symptom is that i cough like mad. I can put up with my runny nose and puffy eyes. Do you think this would help my coughing at all?
Has anyone used this and found it helped this symptom?
Thanks in advance for any replies. x

    People are different.
So even if you can produce a link to a clinical trial (not seen it yet) then it probably would not be the case for every individual.

It helps different people in different ways. I will say that it helps me with my allergic reactions to cats. We have friends who have friends who have cats, and when I know I'm going to thier house I use it before and after. My chest gets a bit wheezy, but whereas I would wake up the next day with a slight wheeze, when I use it I don't.

started using it last week and so far looking positive. been using tablet, nasal spray and eye drops for years. and like u, flixonase has been my best friend! u can get a double dose (150 sprays) presciption from your gp. and have not taken any tablet so far. so finger x for that.

thanks, that'll help - save a few pennies at least!

cetirizine does nearly nothing for me - although I often find that going away really helps - probably because I have become allergic to pollens at home...

Anyone know what pollens release late afternoon, in July? I currently feel like I'm dying...
  • This was posted on the Gone, but was it any good Board, I hope the O/P doesn't mind me showing it on this board too as it is a good post. I ordered mine on Saturday, can't wait to try it out.

Not sure exactly, but I know tree polle is first (may), then grass pollen in the middle, then weed pollen later in the season.
