The best thing I've ever got was my rosewood coffee table, originally from Harrods

My favourite giveaway was 3 fence panels I was thinking of paying the council to take away
I've stopped offering anything on there that's small enough to be carried to the charity shop now though because I'm sick of no-shows and time wasters :mad:Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -
My favourite two things to recieve were my breadmaker... it only had been used twice and it is really great and a oak table and chairs. They need to be restored but will be brilliant once I get round to taking them the the restorer. The lovely couple who gifted them to me even delivered it! I also got a slow cooker but I am fairly useless at using it... everything comes out watery and tasteless.
The worst two things I recieved were from the same person: a non working moulinex food processor and a completely rusted pressure cooker. The food processor was also absolutely filthy. I cleaned it up and put it back on freecycle and a nice man come round to pick it up saying that he would give it a go at getting it to work. I really hope it did.Man plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
I love freecycle too! I have kitted out my house with baby equipment so that my sons and wives/partners don't have to bring anything with them when they visit with their children. I have a travel cot, highchair, buggy, car seat, baby bath, carry cot, Moses basket, toys etc. I have also received home brewing equipment, very useful as I make my own wine. My family and I are currently enjoying family bbqs using a well used but kindly donated barbeque.
I have also given lots away and currently have a med sized dog cage on loan to a fellow freecycler for an injured chicken. I am always impressed with people's generosity and the spirit of the site. Unfortunately there are those that abuse it (take free things then advertise them on e bay) but fortunately they appear to be the minority.

The best & most used thing we have been given was a bin bag full of wooden train track, junctions & bridges. It would have cost a lot new & my son is train mad so it's had a lot of use over the last few years.0

My best thing was probably my sons playhouse! I had been well loved (used) but i just couldnt afford one at the time. My son loved it and just recently i bought him a new one and passed the old one on to some friends who have given it a coat of plastic paint and it is looking great again!! I have also had a computer desk and loads of bits for my son - a working ride on toy digger and a little tikes climbing frame/slide thing.
I am a fan of freecycle and have given away a fair bit aswellEmma
Aug GC - £88.17/£130

I've got a whole set of Delia Collection books, a lovely Circulon frying pan that I'm saving for my mum next time I see her, a big lemon balm plant and other cuttings. These were all ads I responded to, but I've never had any luck when actually asking for something.
When we lived in London I gave away loads of stuff including a bike and a nice food mixer that I just didn't get on with. I have a room full of stuff upstairs that I need to give away now but I really need to have a good sort out and convince DH that he really doesn't need all the stuff he's hoarded... I think I might also offer some of my sourdough starter as it would be nice to pass it on
