Confessions of a Spendy Fresian, led astray by her Spendy Elves...
Well, I've had a great weekendWe headed through to Glasvegas yesterday morning (Mr Fresian is the best boyfriend ever and drove us through to the centre of town) We got a taxi to the hotel which was only ten minutes walk from the SECC. The Spendy Elves got their first outing at the SECC :rotfl: After the craft show, we headed into town for Primark/shopping and dinner then got ready and went out on the town to Club Noir for the evening.
Today I really wanted to head back home as soon as we had eaten breakfast, but my friend wanted to do a little more shopping, and so the Spendy Elves were released into the wild againHere is the total for the weekend....
Breakfast on Saturday - £1.45 (Woo, Greggs!)
Taxi to the hotel - £5
Craft show ticket for my friend - £6.90 (I wish I had known she would want to go, I could have done it with Tesco points!!)
Crafty spends - £63.40 (Includes some mega bargains!!)
Chewing gum - 60p
Train from SECC to town - £1.25
Dinner at Pizza Express - £7 (Woo, Tesco!)
First Primark trip - £29.50
Drinks at night out - £8
Post night-out burger and chips - £4.50
Taxi home - £6
Primark Take Two - £18.50
Juice for train - £1.10
Left luggage charges - £6
Train home - £10.60 (Sodding daylight robbery *mutter*)
Total painful cost - £169.80 :eek::eek:
On the plus side though, I had £110 with me initially and knew I was also prepared to divert £100 from this month's rent money too, so in theory I'm in under budget
I had a great time anyway and don't do things like that very often (Either spending money on myself or attending burlesque extravaganzas!) so I'm content.
Hope everyone else had a good weekend. Xxx

What a lovely weekend! My Sis has got DS into making Xmas cards which is great as she is buying all the bits, he's making them and we shall then give to the family and friends - costing me zilch :money:.
They are very good, mind you he has a good teacher. Mine would look like a toddler did them.0 -

So far today I have spent £4.10 on lunch (I made my lunch, but forgot I was meant to go out for lunch with a friend. Oops!)
I suspect there will be another spend today - I'm going out for dinner with my auntie tonight but it is p!ssing it down raining in Edinburgh tonight. I think I may well end up getting a taxi home as she's staying somewhere which is two bus rides away from Fresian Towers. I'll see how the weather goes....so far it's best described as apocalyptic

Oh, and I registered for the Open University this morning :j The course starts in May, which gives me some time to save up for it, and I'm able to get some funding through work tooIf my secondment doesn't get extended at work, my salary goes back to normal and then I should qualify for funding via ILA too. Hurrah!
I have more money than I did yesterday because after dinner with my auntie and her friend (too much wine *hic*) she gave me money for a taxi home - which cost half of what she gave me. Does that mean yesterday was a NSD as I came out in profit?
She also wants me to send her 12 of my birthday cards as soon as possible  so my friend is coming round tonight and we're going to be crafty people. Angelic - Mr Fresian is off to the Post Office today, so your cards should be with you soon. They've been sitting on my table for over a week now
