  • I would like to nominate DCLane - A Robin/Robina (if such a name exists)Hood

Many thanks for your Boots.com mobile phone posting. Saw that last week and as I was wanting to change my phone and provider, this was a blessing in disguise. My previous provider started at £25 per month and latterly every month it seems I have used 70 minutes exactly for 3 consequtive months!!! This gives me so much more and loads of minutes AND a total of £360 reward for getting my contract with Orange. My grandchildren will love me lots when I can really give them a treat. Many, many thanks. You deserve a medal.

DeclanH has taken the initiative and is using his own time and resources for the benefit of all the N.Ireland posters. We in N.Ireland are often required to pay extra for delivery charges, making good deals found on the internet more sour than sweet. Having a green list of all those companies which do not take advantage of our "off shore" location is very helpful, time saving and money saving for us lot over the Irish Sea but still in the UK. Hopefully it will put the baddies on the red list to shame so that they change their policies and transfer to the green.

I would like to second the nomination for Declan. He has put a lot of work in to the listings of "good" and "bad" carriers to Northern Ireland and is currently hosting all this on his own website.
It makes it so much easier for us to compare charges and who actually reconises that we ARE a part of the Uk and not a foreign country!

Well done Declan and thankyou from me as NI BG for providing this info;)

I would like to third this nomination. Having lived in Liverpool for 5 years previously, and using the same companies for delivery when moving to NI costs a fortune (EBuyer in particular). His contribution has meant the ability to choose companies to buy from, so that when you get to the checkout you aren't faced with up to £15 quid more:eek: delivery charge than those on the mainland.

His site and posts have been an invaluable resource.

I think 50 pots of playdoh for £5 is such a bargain and with my son's birthday coming up these will be great party bag fillers!

  • I wouldn't normally nominate as, being an employee, my nominations shouldn't really count but I wanted to thank southernscouser for this extremely helpful post.

It's really boosted my faith in regular forum users to know that they really do read the email, and in southernscouser's case that every single bit of the email is read, and our efforts aren't in vain. Good on you ss! ;)
