Faulty play station 3 out of warranty by 3 weeks what can i do ?

    Yes it covers you but not for a refund, it covers you for the retailer to repair or replace or refund at whichever is cheapest for them.

    99.9999999999% of the times a refund is not given because it is the most expensive thing that the retailer can do.

    99.9999999999% of the times a refund is not given because it is the most expensive thing that the retailer can do.

    very true however in this cas the fault was the motherboard would have cost best part of £180 to £200 to replace i would have been happy with either or fact is business cant be botherd with the hassle and they make there money from the millons of customer that dont complaint i just take what they say as law

    i doubt very much its a high % like this unless you have access to stats we dont

    Or bake it in a solder "oven" for half an hour?

    Besides YLOD is a generic fault code that relates to ANY (or most) hardware faults bar the HDD so people say its a common issue but its really not, its any and every issue with one light (as opposed to RROD always relating to the same specific issue)
    Back by no demand whatsoever.

    Nail them how? The OP can just get an independant report stating what was wrong with it and get it fixed.

    do u work for sony?? fact it this is how they get out of it saying the ylod just means there is any kind of fault load of !!!!!!, hence way 1000's of people get the same problem either the cpu and or gpu

    I had an meile washing machine that developed a very expensive fault around 16 months after I had bought it , I was advised that the soga required goods to be guarenteed for a ''reasonable'' amount of time , and when I quoted this to meile they fixed the machine foc
