Yes, I have been on stress management courses. Maybe I should mention I am also bipolar (hence the bankruptcy) and yet I have worked my entire life (since I was 13) all bar 4 months when my daughter was a baby. Studying, working, and being a mum will only make my problem worse. Hemiplegic migraines are horrendous for anybody who does not know, they are one of the most debilitating forms of migraine that there is (Half of my brain shuts down and it is almost like I have had a stroke, I lose, speach, hearing, movement). I have struggled with these for 3 years, they come in clusters and happen every 3-4 weeks. I will often have 6 or 7 in one cluster (1-2 weeks). Please do not judge me. My husband is a carpenter, there is no work and yes, he has applied to Sainsbury's, B&Q, Blockbuster, everywhere but nothing so £600 is what we have to live with at the moment. So yes, I need to 'give my head a break'. I need to retrain. I need to have a life.
But you want everyone else to pay for it!0 -
You will lose your childcare element if you get that just now when you stop working and start studying also.
If you rent you MAY get some help with rent but if you own your home you wont get help.0 -

Your post was quite reasonable. At least you are trying to better yourself not expecting benefits so that you can lie around all day doing nothing like some of them! I dont know the answer, but hopefully someone nice will come along and advise you. Good Luck.

As far as I know you won't get any help whilst studying an access course.
Does your college offer the course pt? Have you though about doing it via the OU?
That way you can still work and just study in your spare tmeFuture Mrs Gerard Butler

Nope, sorry, they're already Bankrupt so no debts to pay as such, but any extra money coming in each month would be taken by the official receiver and handed out to the creditors..at least until they are dischargedWhich means they will pay off their debts more quickly - bonus! The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter

You have 40+ more years to work and instead of resting your head maybe start looking for another job, you can study as a hobby in your free time.
Have you taken any action to make your work life less stressful?
Or taken advice on copeing with stress?

No sunnyone, benefits don't count in bankruptcy. Only earned money. The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter
