    *lists umpteen possible causes

It needs investigation. It may be a broken wire for 50p, or a faulty airbag for £300+

Can't help with London garages though.

i reckon a broken wire check under the front seats tis the most common problem

On an Saxo i had the wiring for the airbag sensor ran under the front passenger seat and was disconnected by the good lady wifes handbag..

As it just disconnected the clip it was not much of a repair.

Assuming the corsa is built to the same exacting(?) standards i'd go for something along those lines as well..

where is the resistence too high??

my guess would be under the front seats common fault, when i was at vaux it was standard practice to remove the crap plugs where loom joins seat wiring then solder and heat shrink the cables and tie them loosely to bottom of seats so they do not get pulled when seat moves or someone sits in seat.

a vauxhall is not like some other cars like peugeot/citroen the light will not go out if fault is fixed it needs to be reset on tech2.

Had the same problem in the past and it was down to the front seat.

My wife moves the seat everytime she drives it, I move it back and this can kick the airbag light on as there is some sort of sensor for the seat where it thinks it's not correctly located.

Try moving the seat on the runner and making sure it's locked in place correctly. I have also used wd40 on the seat mechanism and wiring which has solved the airbag light until it needed doing again.

it is normally as i described above that causes the problem, either high resistence in pre-tensioner or side airbag circuit through the plugs that are clipped to seat base.movement from seat going forward/back or from people getting in and out causes the plug/wiring connections to stretch.

I had this too in my Saxo when I first got it. It was the same problem, the wire got caught under the seat, so easily fixed luckily.
