Moving Virgin Media Advice

I am doing some research on behalf of my son. He is moving in a couple of weeks. Currently has Virgin media for telephone and broadband.

His new flat is cabled for Virgin Media. He would like to have some TV included. Having had a quick look it seems that it would be best to start a new contract going via Quidco.

My question is would he be able to do it in his name at the new property or would it be better for his wife to sign up?

Why wouldn't he be able to do it in his name?

Bad credit? VM do credit checks,unlike Sky.

I thought it might have to be in a different name as he already has an account and that VM wouldnt allow a new one in the same name?

I would've thought he could keep his account and move it?

(Feels like I'm missing something)
