Public toilets...

Options
Just a little rant...

I was in a well known coffee chain today, and went to the Ladies. I was err rather despirate so I didn't think to do my normal check that there is paper... imagin my disgust when there was no toilet paper.

I spent several pounds to buy a drink, and have a lovely sit in the sun. The drink was of a reasonable standard - but I would have thought charging £3 for a milkshake, the company would be making enough money to pay for loo rolls... wouldnt you?

I don't wish to make a complaint as I think overall my experience of the chain was OK, just what it said on the tin. But I think the company needs to be aware that a branch of their company isn't offering the basic human nature requirements!!

tut tut!

It would probably be restocked the next time the toilet was checked. Why didn't you say to member of staff there is no toilet roll in the ladies.

indeed - a previous money saver could well have half hitched the bog roll and taken it home....happens a lot.

To be honest, I was in a rush for my bus, and the shop assistants was that busy discussing random rubbish I didn't have time. Bit too late when the deed is done... isnt it lol.

  • Someone must have nicked the loo roll! I do think they check them at regular intervals in most places but of course they can't control how much paper is being used in between checks.

Always carry tissues and an antiseptic hand gel (in case there's no soap) with with you for these circumstances:)

I went into Starbucks once and their toilet was disgusting - filthy dirty and the bin was overflowing with used sanitary products. I wrote to them and complained and they sent me some vouchers for free drinks. The next time I went in there the toilets were much better.

LOL material, would you believe this was actually the first day in god knows how long I havnt had my tissues with me - typical isn't it. You carry a brolly round for months, never use it, take it out you bag the day you need it!

  • I know NGlady it's always like this. I try to carry everything round with me that I could possibly need and have a massive handbag but I'm always missing something that one day when I really need it!

the toilets in a particular cafe nero in manchester are disgusting, always soaking wet floors, no loo roll, sanitary products in the sink :s then you wash your hands and wonder when you open the door how many germs you're putting back on them!

How exactly are you going to make them aware if you don't tell them ?

I was skimming the thread and misread the last word of this post as cheeks.
