I'm going to try and do the same.
The boiler is only going on at the moment to dry DH's motorbike suit out when it rains. The boiler is in a built in cupboard in our bedroom and gets toasty warm.
All our radiators have their own thermostats so we can control each room, so that can save money.
I'm watching tv in the dark and switching my electric oven off 5 mins before the end of cooking as the temp stays up enough to finish off.
Proud to be dealing with my debts

my boiler has been turned off since last winter too mainly because its broken  and i couldnt have hot water without having the heating on needless to say over the summer having the heating on is a no go! so i have been boiling water for washing up most of the year and i have a leccy shower. i have got used to this now and it really saves money, obviousely hasnt saved me enough money to fix the boiler yet though  or maybe it has and i`ve just spent it!:oproper prior planning prevents !!!!!! poor performance!Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realise we cannot eat moneyquote from an american indian.0
