Hi all ( Hug for Sher)

Just been to Asda and they have these new surf capsules on roll back for £4:eek: still to much for me lol:) but if you use your coupon it will make it £3! Allthough I think Persil small and mighty for £1.99 and using yout 1/2 price coupon( got one in the post) is a much better deal:D 99p cant beat that!

Used one of my £1 Surf coupons against a bottle of Surf Tropical which was on sale for £1.64 so got it for 64p. I also used a £2 Fairy coupon against Fairy Gel and in total got a £9.95 shop for £2.95 thanks to a couple of extra coupons that accidentally slipped into my pile. Oh dear my eyes aren't so good as they used to be!!!

Would also mention that the kids Aquafresh toothpaste is on offer for 75p in Sainsbury so only 15p with the 60p coupon.

I could do with a thread which is strictly only about money off, cheap or free BASIC STAPLES, no luxuries.

We need to agree what gets included and what gets left out.

I suggest Bread, Spuds, Milk, Butter or Marge, possibly eggs, some kind of staple meat product without too much cancer causing or heart attack causing chemicals like the potasium nitrite used to make pink meats stay pink, for example.

    What else?

If anyone agrees it would be useful for frugal living, or if there is a thread that I have missed, at 2:30 am in the morning, then let me know please, and I will let you know where to get a Spotfy invite.

I am trying to exist on minumum food, to reduce waste and not throw any away, not to get sweets, treats or luxuries, in other words, eat to live instead of live to eat.

I already only have one meal a day. I am now under 12 stone, thank goodness.

I almost have the muscle definition I used to have as a caving, climbing, hill walking, underwater swimming cave diving young man, before my failed marriage.

I say almost, as at 60 I am afraid it is not easy to avoid the situation where "all of a sudden you're a fat bar steward" to slightly reword what Rimmer said in Red Dwarf, once.

I have seen a Yank on the Internet say he could and did live on about 50 cents worth of food a day as a student.

I know the Government allows a pitiful amount for food a day, if you are on benefits, based on the seeming assumption that we can exist on porridge, rice and bread all the rest of our life, and nothing else.

In case people worry about me starving to death, you would be wasting your time giving me advice about calory intake and vitamin supplements, as I already am aware of this, and the dangers of crash dieting (which is not what I am doing), and also since I have already tried to commit suicide once this year, (and may have to resort to it in the future if my life gets any more pointless) so not bothered if it happens.

So, reducing my body mass gradually would be a long slow route to a hopefully less painful and distressing death than the failed attempt in April.

If anyone gets upset by my candid statements, bear in mind I have been recently diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, and I say what I feel. Apparently this upsets normal humans a lot. Including my (ex) wife and 2 sons.

Which is why I am now living alone and able to carry out this interesting frugal living experiment (without constant nagging and criticism and unpleasant remarks).

Mods delete this if of no use or if it upsets anyone, or if it breaks forum rules, or if Martin says so. Or move it to the correct thread if one exists.

    Ta.

We don't do that on this forum,' only offer something for something in return'.....try harder at being nicer and more helpful to others for no reward,it might help you a lot.And no, even if I knew what it was, I don't want a Spotfy invite !!!

Honestly, I haven't the clues what you are on about :o. I think you got the wrong thread on here. Here we are like 1 happy big "visual" families be it lurkers or non lurkers (yes, we do have our differences but we kiss & make up visually!) - we look after our family to our best abilities. If and went I can't afford the lifestyle that I am having now (60% paid by coupons :D) - then I will look for the alternative like getting the government to give me benefits that I deserves since I have been paying my tax from the day I started working.;) until then I am happy to keep buying "Free Range Chicken":p

    *tip toes in*

Hope you are all enjoying a lovely sunny Sunday.

Today the Muse household will be enjoying a roast dinner - pork bought yellowstickered and chopped into 3 dinners worth, with fresh veg bought in Friday nights massively reduced by mocs shop. :D

    *tip toes out*

PS littleredheadedgirl'75: if you are looking in, my stash isn't as big as yours. It mostly lives in the spare bedroom/office which no one can turn around in, and will get used eventually - honest guv. ;)
