    Afternoon all

Bitsy it sounds to me that he could be being bullied - I would check with his teacher and see what is going on, I had this with my DS and it was because he was being bullied - suffice it to say I moved him to another school and he has come on leaps and bounds.

Thanks for the news on Diva Kezlou

    Jc Scream!!!!!!!!!! Bloody men !!!!!!!!!

Dinner tonight is honey and mustard chicken with salad and jersey royals followed by home grown strawberries with cream.

I have had so many strawberries and lettuce plus the peas, potatoes, cucumber and beans are growing well and the courgettes have had a growing spurt; but have blight on the tomatoes so have had to burn them - I am going to give up growing tomatoes this has happened for the last 3 years.

Oh well I had better go and prepare dinner easy one tonight salad is already made and I always boil potatoes in their skins and the chicken has been prepared so just got to pop it in the oven for 25 mins and dinner is ready :)

Will have that in the garden with a nicely chilled bottle of chardonnay bliss pure bliss ;) :D
I hope that everyone has a great evening x

 (unless you have to go out and buy it, obviously!)

It can be a hard thing to do. Any shop; and usually the route to that shop; is designed to make you buy stuff that you do not need. You done good!

    Evening everyone

Another lovely day, managed to get ds1 to put washing in and peg out this morning, a result. Still feeling exhausted with this cold and just want to sleep> have to be thankful that I have got it now as getting married in just over 3 weeks - 16 July. It seems to be coming round so quick now.

Not much os today apart from taking lunch to work, washing up, bit of sorting and omlettes for tea. Will put some more washing on tonight to peg out in the morning. Need to scan some photo's of dd tonight as it is her 21st birthday party on friday. Got a picture put on a cake when she was little at Mr T, not very os though.

Jc - I too would be screaming and turning the air blue.
Camelot - Enjoy your dd graduation tomorrow.
Bitsy - Hope you get things sorted for your ds at school.
nmlc - glad everything went well yesterday.

Enjoy the rest of your evening. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care.

    Thank you all :D
I'm now sitting with paper and pen to list all food/groceries we already have in and try to attempt a meal plan of some sort :o

I think I will only need bread, fruit and milk until DF gets paid on Monday, we're trying not to touch the joint account which the tax credits and child benefit go into to see what we can save......

Looking forward to more posting on here.

Hi, it's been so hot here today. I've been stripping wallpaper so ended up very hot and sticky. We had our next door neighbour and good friend round for dinner as her husband is in hospital, I cooked Lasagna and garlic bread then we had ice creams for pudding. I'm trying to organise a night out with some friends as one of our friends who emigrated to Canada is back for a holiday.

HUGS to all that need them

    Evening all

I was a tad confused when I couldn't find the daily thread on the front page of the OS board, and then it said 'May'! :rotfl:

Good day at work, had to do some H&S vetting for work placements so I got to sneak in a visit to the shops too :D. Then all the work kids left early to watch the footie, even though we are in Wales and they are all Welsh. We had it on in office too but had to have live tv feed on one pc but no sound, and then Radio 5 on the other! :rotfl:. I left early as needed to get one of the tyres fixed on my minibus as there was a nail in it. Normally I have to wait ages at the garage but they did it straight away so I got home early, which was a bonus.

I went to meet the girls for dinner after work, only to the Harvester but it was still nice. On way I stopped at Post Office to tax my car. Unbelieveably it was the first time I've ever taxed a car at PO, and I've had my car 7 years! I used to work at DVLA so I taxed my car on-site for those 5 years, then did it online last year!

No OS here today :o. I do need to dye my hair but to be honest I can't be bothered to do it tonight.

    Have a good evening all

Evening Everyone. I never noticed N9eav's deliberate mistake this morning;)

The training at work was very good, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and have a girl crush on the woman who delivered it. She was lovely and very engaging, and was very stylish, I was thinking that's exactly how I will dress when I am that size. Well, she's a twelve if she's very unlucky, more like a ten, and I don't think I'll manage that, but she looked very good. :D

I am pleased England won today, as the engineers at work had a sweepstake for last goal of the game, and I was closest! :D I think about £40-£50, I will fins out toorrow, first time I've won anything like that I think, so very pleased, that will go toward DS2's birthday trip on Sunday.

I haven't done much since I came home, except clean up Coco's mess. She ate my post today again. Very funny, but also very annoying, I have ordered a door cage, and am waiting for it to arrive, it should come tomorrow I hope. She knew sh was a bad girl, but I couldn't be too hard on her as she was on her own for over 9 hours, which I feel terrible about, she is just too young, but I completely forgot to arrange something for her, and my sister was out herself all day. MIL has said that during the school holidays she will come down and let her into the garden and keep her company for an hour on the days I am working (I am doing only two weekdays, 9-5.30 during the summer and boys are going to holiday club), which will be good for MIL too, if she's well enough. If not, I will check with my neighbour if she can see to her, maybe.

I also have a moan. I had cancelled my TV licence DDEB, so the renewal was due a few weeks ago (that was the last letter she ate :rotfl:) I called last week when I remembered and reset it. I had wanted to pay by debit card but the young man had insisted I pay by DDEB, so I asked for a single payment, and he set it to come off July 8th. Cue seven o'clock a man at the door, very nice and friendly, from the TV licencing people. I don't have a licence, it expired three weeks ago, and I am watching tV unlicenced. I explained about my call last week and that's sorted out, and we had a conversation about people making mistakes in Call Centres, and how I definitely am not registered as his wee hand held device is linked to the main computer (at this point my next door neighbour comes out of his house, who knows how much he'd heard as his door is very close) He starts to reregister me, and says it will come out on the 15th July. I made him wait at the door and went to check my online banking, and the DDEB is active on my bank account. He put the reference number into his wee device, and lo and bahold I am licenced, no offence issues (!), a quick sorry and he was off. I did laugh about how many people he visits who are actually telling the truth, and he did seem very apologetic, but what if I didn't have my online banking, or hadn't thought about it, or was elderly or not quite up to dealing with these things, that could have really upset me as well as the embarrassment of my next door neighbour hearing what he was there for! I will be complaining tomorrow, I am really not happy about it at all.

Sorry that was a bit long winded :o

Also wanted to say to JC you have every right to be angry. I trust my OH 100% but I would be mad mad mad if I thought he was "speaking" to another woman like that. No way, Jose! Make him do all his own domestics for a few days, and then he'll see who the real woman is :D

Hope all are well and safe. Lowesy if you are still lurking around, have a big wet sloppy kiss from me, it would have been my due date next week, so I know how you are feeling honey. XXX

Very late to-night as I was watching Wimbledon and couldn't leave a match that was 2 all and 59/59 in final set when it was called off due to darkness....felt so sorry for both young men, one looked as if he would keel over if he stayed still for 2 seconds.

Overcast here all day and about a cupful of rain fell so had to water the garden and greenhouse...Kerry thinks that the hose is a wonderful plaything, I get fed up of the game but she doesn't. Sile strolled in this morning looking to be fussed over, she was obviously being fed by someone else or helping herself to the rabbits in the field behind my brother's house, she is now curled up on one of the chairs behind me.

Thinking of my mother to-day, as it would have been her 92nd birthday...both my parents died in 1994 but I still miss them lots....sometimes I go sit in my father's workshop as I can still feel him there....sorry for selfpitying moan.

Sorry to hear about your VAt increase....ours is 21% and it does make a difference. Our child benefit was reduced in our budget for this year although I think that it is still quite high.....€150 per month for first 2 children and more for subsequent ones.

Dinner this evening was steak, spinach and yesterday's left over potatoes sauteed for OH, I had a huge salad with some chicken leftover from yesterday, steak is not my favourite thing to eat so avoid it where possible. Hung out bed linen from downstairs spare room, hope it dries outside as can then just make beds again and give room a quick once-over and it will be ready for when DD2 comes on 19th July.

Glad to hear that Diva is well, nice to see you again Ladygrim, trust that others MIA will return soon.

JackieG....sorry but I had to laugh at your story of the tv license inspector....I used to always forget about ours but have been doing it on line for a couple of years now...think that we will get one free when OH turns 70 in November so won't be a problem any more then.

    Hugs to all

    Marie
