Be reminded though that after 6 Months they HAVE TO give this back to you.

If you want *your* money back just take them to court.

It's only ebay/paypal law that says they can steal your money and use it for 6 months.

Paypal have done this to lots of people. I have asked for my money back so I am in the process of waiting the 180days it takes for them to give it back to you. Then they are going to close my account. I have read so many stories of paypal doing this to people for no good reason. Terrible company.

There are previous threads with people getting their money back fairly quickly with court cases. The real problem is people who want to carry on with Ebay. If you start a case your Paypal account will be closed with little chance of getting another.

I'd be now threatening Paypal with court action, sending them a letter via special delivery, with a heading "letter before action".

Detail every bit of information you've supplied them with, dates of all emails and phone calls, and give them 5 days to un-restrict your account, otherwise you will be taking court action against them. I'd then go on to detail all your current losses, and show them what you'll be claiming for due to their incompetence.

I'm sure they get lots of scammers, but surely they should be trying to help their genuine customers?!

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

You should of given them the information they wanted for the people who had access to your paypal/ebay account then.

Silly mistake to make with a company obliged to consider everyone a money launderer.

You need to send them all you can provide and give them a call.
But based on what most people have said, it might get you nowhere.
