when a company cold calls you and you are registered with TPS how do you go about reporting them?
weve been plagued by silent calls (automated diallers calling a veriety of numbers) and tonight had a call from 'cool new mobile'.

Go to the tps website, there is a section on there for reporting companies.0

thanklyou i have filled in a report file.
i am fed up of mobile companies ringing trying to flog me a mobile. and when you mention TPS they say 'oh i didnt realise you were registered'
what actually shows on their screens then?
are our numbers not TPS flagged? There's someone in my head, but it's not me0 -
If you report them,i believe very little happens.TPS are pretty toothless.0

I often ask the company that cold calls to confirm which company they are calling from, I write it down then tell them that I am registered with the TPS and am able to report them for calling me!
And thanks to that postman in the news the other day am going to register to stop mail and email!Weight Loss - 102lb0 -
hope you had more luck than me hjb-royal mail email playing up- optout@royalmail.com
They say its crashed-when is it going to be uncrashed?0 -
Why is it junk mail companies make some sort of attempt to adhere to the Mailing Preference Service but Royal Mail doesn't have to follow it?
It seems a massive loophole that renders the MPS pointless.0 -
MPS only deals with junk mail addressed to you personally, the crap the post office are delivering and you have to opt out of with them is the piles of advertising leaflets they deliver.0
-
I'm sick to the back teeth of the junk delivered by hand via the postman addressed "to the occupier" It all goes directly in the recycle box.0

You mean, you live in the Recycle box?0

We have been getting a load of cold callers at the mo, from 02081812010.
I did a search on them last night and they are a marketing company for magazines, I have been having up to 10 calls a day from these up to about 9pm at night, according to them, they are within OFCOMs regualtions on this,
They do have an email address to get you put on the no-call list but apparently it takes ages to get into the system.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0
