It would be far more cost effective to buy a caravan.
Park on a certitifcated site for a fiver a night, (or cheaper if you can come to some sort of deal) and you'll lose a few hundred to a few thousand depending on what you paid, when you come to sell it back to a dealer in winter.
I wouldn't consisder a motorhome, as they're 5 to 10 times the price, won't sell in winter, and dealers pay several thousand below selling price at the moment.
If it's parked up there's no advantage either.
edit- fiver to a tenner a night around Manchester0 -
I always wonder how the law stands on alcohol in a camper van.If you are in the back drinking, are you classed as in charge of the vehicle?Or is it a case of it stops being a vehicle once parked up with the ignition off?0

Depends where it is.
If you are wild camping, in a public place, like a roadside, common or verge, yes can be prosecuted.
If you are on a private area, such as a campsite or friends drive, you can't be.0 -
