Just read your thread x_r_ and just wanted to wish you well in the weight loss and also wanted to say well done for being strong and you're on your way to clearing some pretty hefty debts there. I am impressed!

I am glad you can work some extra hours too - if you enjoy your jobs *and* get paid for it, that's so cool. I hate my job and get asked to work extra and get paid nowt! :rotfl:

Thank you for your kind words. It's nice to have support, even if it's just a few nice words.

I had a pleasant day today. It was nice and sunny so I took Shadow up to the Hoe and met up with my Granma. Shadow had a swim, then we strolled home. I'm red, but not burnt and I've spent no money today.:D

Now I'm going to cook some chicken wings and have them with a healthy salad and some rice. :p Then watch a little tv before heading to work for an extra shift.

    Hi there
Well done on your debt busting, and the weight loss. I am so jealous. I went to college in Plymouth, and really really miss that area something chronic. Feel home sick when I leave etc. So enjoy the Hoe!

    Thank you,

Yes Plymouth is a great place to live, the sea, nice parks and Dartmoor all in easy reach! All my family has moved away, but I can see myself here for a while.

Had another nice walk this morning when I finished work at 6am. Took Shadow to Central Park. I saw a rabbit dart for cover and was half hoping Shadow would catch it so I could have rabbit pie for dinner  but useless dog was more interested in playing with a plastic bag and didn't even notice the bunny run infront of her nose!

I've moved another £200 into my savings account, where I'm keeping the extra for my BoS loan. Cos it's seperate from my daily account I won't 'accidentally' spend it:rotfl:Only got to find another £200 and I can pay them off!
This will come out of next Friday's wages, I've budgeted carefully and can just about miss the £200 needed. I love 5 week months, I get 5 pay packets!

Off to bed now to sleep the day away.

    I'm such a loser!

Weight that is :D when I got up this afternoon I weighed myself and I've lost another 2lbs!!

Made myself a yummy stew from scratch and had enough for dinner and 2 portions to freeze!
The last few days I've been really happy, things seem to be coming together. The weight is dropping off nicely, my dinners are getting healthier and because I'm planning my weekly meals I'm only buying what I need therefore saving money.
I'm going to be paying off a loan after next fridays pay check, and going to tackle and clear the next one before xmas.

Everything seems to be coming together at last and I'm in a good place at the moment.

Went food shopping yesterday, I wrote out a two week meal plan and decided to only buy exactly what I needed for the plan.
When I got to Asda of course a few extra things went in the trolley  and I was expecting £30-£35 and was pleasantly surprised when it came to £18.68!
I also paid £2 onto my Asda xmas savings card (which is going to be an xmas present for my Mum) and threw 30p change into the charity bucket for the scouts who were packing.
I've got £29 in my purse now which will cover this months water rates of £28.05, which I will have to pay tomorrow as the post office was closed before I got to it.

I also sold some Ninja Turtle comics on eBay and made a nice £15! :T
And I'm heading up to a local regular Sunday car boot sale this morning to enquire about getting a pitch. I have way too much clutter at home, and as most of it is bulky a boot sale might be the best option.

I'm all excited about paying off Bank Of Scotland after Friday when my wages go in. As the settlement figure I got runs out on 18th I applied for a new figure, the girl on the phone told me it would be £617, but when the confirmation letter arrived the new figure is £545.31! Valid until 8th September. I can't wait and I've already written out the letter and the cheque ready to post! :D Can't wait to update my sig!

Hi there! Wow some great progress being made here.

I was helping a friend price up a few bits for a car boot sale today and I bought a few bits off her and I remember that feeling...when people starting handing over cold hard cash for stuff that has previously just been sitting around......such a good feeling!

Can't wait to hear how you get on.

Well done on the weight loss too.....keep going with the healthy home made food, it's the way to go for sure.

I can't wait to do the boot sale, I need to see if I can borrow a table from someone as I don't have anything suitable
It's only going to cost £4 for the pitch and I've already started adding extra things onto the pile thats going. Even if I don't sell much as long as I get £4 back I won't be on a loss.

Incidentally, the guy who bought the comics off eBay is local, he's coming tomorrow morning to collect them (and pay me) and I'm going to ask him if he wants to buy any more of my ninja turtle items.
