what ever happens insurance

could do with some advise anyone,

i initially bought my tv just over 5 years ago (hitachi 42" plasma) and took out the what ever happens cover (£10.98 per month) i have over this period kept up payments and never missed. 6 weeks ago i had sky HD fitted and the HDMI post on the tv would not work, i contacted the what ever happens team and they picked it up and comfirming that it would be returned fixed within 14 days. 29 DAYS LATER the tv returned upon opening the packaging the tv had some quite substantial damage to the casing, stickers stuck on to the casing, dents in the back of the tv and also screws missing, i contacted them back and they have been yet again to pick up the tv and claimed that it would be returned within 14 days (again) we are now 17 days later and still no tv, i also ant seem to get hold of the right phone number to find the location of the tv and its status.

can anyone help, can i go through a currys store?

thanks in advance.

Dave

  • With whatever happens it says on their website that if they can't repair the product within 21 days then they will send you a replacement or vouchers.

When i sent them my DSLR camera after dropping it in the sea they sent me vouchers a couple of days later.

If i was you i would wait the extra 4 days and ring them and ask for vouchers to be sent to you, then you can buy a new TV at currys :)

The number you need to ring is 0844 561 4000 you will need your whatever happens reference number from the receipt.

    Hope this helps
