I think the actual subject is BORROWING MONEY to invest in property abroad to make a profit to pay off the mortgage at home. Seems risky to me.0 -
Im going to watch it, never know, might have some good ideas!!!!!0

Thought I'd watch it - even if its to screech at the people on screen! Might be something useful, i'd like to buy a property abroad one day! and sarah beeny seems to be a straight talking kind of person.0

Yes. I enjoy a laugh (and a gloat when it all goes wrong!)0

thought it was quite interesting, but reckon the people in it tonight just got lucky with the price rises - ok then they did do their research about the town, but not having the finance in place and funding it on credit cards at times......though tbh I'm probably just a little bit jealousNo longer an accidental landlord, still a wannabe millionaire:beer:

I thought they did well but that kind of risk just isn't for us unfortunately0

They did seam very lucky with their prices, mind you, it didnt say if they managed to sell them tho, and if they did how much they got, so that would be interesting to see!!!!0

Love the way they casually ignore the non resident CGT taxes (35% I think) applicable on the profits made by the sale of these properties in Spain.0

ok then, as a challenge, what technique would you use to try and pay your mortgage off in a year, would you start a business/website, try and achieve it through property, register 10000 accounts with quidco, and hope that the kelkoo and carsource clicks paid out????
(was wondering about the tax sitaution though)No longer an accidental landlord, still a wannabe millionaire:beer:
