time to leave Orange (they not what they used to and retention is taking the micky!). Any here can recommend any O2 deal (sorry only interested in O2 for various reasons). Also please note I am NOT after any of these cashback deals (unless automatically credited, or reduced from the start).

Need something which is:

- contract ideally 12 months
- 500 min/500 sms anytime/any network
- Nokia E60 would be nice

for around GBP 25/month. Have my PAC so ready to go... considering 750min/750sms deal for 35/month right now, but its a 18month thing.

Any tips/ideas much appreciated

    75 min/150 sms for GBP 19.00....!!
  • Have you seen the E60 advertised anywhere? I can't find it! Also, if you are going to take out a contract with o2, ring and ask them first if it is an accredited handset (i.e. has it been fully tested so that all it's features will work). I'd hate for you to take out a contract on the basis of a phone having a particular feature and then find you are unable to use it. I've had customers buy the latest handsets from internet sites and then get upset when they can't even send pictures on them.

The best I can find direct from O2 is their online tariffs. They have a Nokia 6233 or Nokia N93. However, none of their contracts offer anywhere near what you are looking for. Closest is 400 min/500sms on 12 month contract at £45.

If you want that many anytime minutes and messages for only £25 you are really going to have to seek out a promotional offer.. but PLEASE don't look in the back of your national paper... the nightmares i've heard. Having had a quick look round myself a lot of the offers nowadays are chequeback, but while some will pay up at the end of the year others pay up every 3rd/4th month.

Have you tried the tariff comparison sites on the main part of MSE? That could be a great start, just make sure you if you choose not to buy from a high street store or direct from o2 that you FULLY check out the company you purchase from... if you buy a phone on an o2 contract from Billys Bargain Basement, and they overcharge you or something, it's Billys 0906 number you have to call to sort it out as they are responsible for your billing. What I'm trying to say is it's not worth risking poor customer service for a few extra minutes and messages.

This post may be a minefield but I hope it helps! x

thanks Littlestar, I hear you loud and clear. The only reason I am interested in the E60 is that it has wifi... really I am not that fussed, as I will go for the most costly handset and then sell it on eBay.

Looks like the 750/750 deal is the one to go for
