I don't think that applies in my case. I couldn't regret not partying LOL. If I'd have know the financial position I would be in now I wouldn't have wasted all the prior years struggling with debt and waited until now to enjoy the things I wanted to enjoy when I could actually afford to do it with my money I've earned, not the money I've had to borrow.

Well done on the £350 BTW. I'm still waiting for my totals to be updated online before I can redo my signature and DFD :D

Bet you can't wait to put that stirke through on the Egg CC on your signature! Hope you're DFD has come closer too.

I think I see where you're coming from, and agree to a certain extent, as it would seem half of what I spent my money on wasn't worth it. And the stuff that was I could have saved for if I wasn't paying for the half that wasn't worth it if you see what I mean?

But I also do believe in looking forward not back when you can, look back sometimes to make sure you have learnt but look forward so that you can get where you want to be.

I believe that it's optimism and hard work that will get us to where we want to be, and that will get things paid back quicker than we first thought we could. Beating ourselves up will make the journey seem longer and harder whereas laughing at ourselves and pushing things that bit further every day will at least make the journey more fun, even if it's still just as hard.

Eep, that was some rambling, I'm almost tempted to delete it! When considering what job I want to look for in April I think that it's clear motivational speaker will not be on the list! :rotfl:

I don't think I could even begin to start trying to work out where my money went, I reckon about £3k was spent modifying a fiesta, another £2-3k on my Integra, £2k on 'stuff' and quite a bit paying for ex boyfriend!!

I keep thinking about veneers, I have this silly little gap in my front two teeth and I don't smile properly because of it :o, something I will def investigate once I am debt freeeeeeeeeeeeeee :j

Lucky I've never been that into cars, they seem to cost people a fortune! And waste of time ex's, seem to cost even more. But at least, as with the car, you traded him in for a better model! :rotfl:

I would def say wait till your DF but I also recommend them if you hate your teeth as much as I hated mine. I thought mine were awful (although most people told me they'd never even noticed so maybe I was focusing too much on them), I had a small gap and one tooth was slightly twisted. I fell off a horse years and years ago and hit my mouth on a piece of metal - one tooth was twisted and the other died and had to be pulled out. When the next one grew (lucky I did this to baby teeth) it came through leaving a gap.
I had braces but as soon as they came off the gap re-appeared, although admittedly better than it had been. I thought about them every time I smiled and it was the first thing I'd notice in a photo of me.
So, vain though it may be, I was sooooo happy to get them done and really did think it was money well spent.

That's why I'm grinning like an idiot in all my Africa pics on FB!:rotfl:

I thought about veneers too, but my orthodontist warned me off them, [beccie you might not want to read this] and instead I got invisalign braces. You should google them. I had crooked teeth and hated smiling. Although people said they didn't notice, I noticed and always wanted to change them. So I went with braces, but chose Invisalign as they're clear and you cannot notice them when they're in. Remember with veneers you're shaving your own teeth down to a stub and they'll never grow back. You'll have to replace them every 10/15 years or so as they don't last forever.

Anyway, you're right beccie I cannot wait to put a strike through the Egg CC. Something I'll really enjoy doing!

I looked at those invisalign braces too - how much did they end up costing you?

I went with some veneers that are very new out that involve very little shaving of your actual tooth so that if they came off it wouldn't be too noticeable. They are also guaranteed for 15 years, so if there is a problem they will sort them. Possibly why mine were quite expensive? I saw a fair few cheap deals and decided in the end that it wasn't worth risking and went to one with a brilliant reputation on Harley Street.

It looked like those braces were good though - just I am also very impatient and also swayed by the whiteness of veneers! I am so vain :o

I think the Invisalign was £3500 and it too about 14 months.

Lumineers are the ones you just stick over your teeth with limited shaving, is that what you had? I was very impatient and wanted the results same day but I was convinced otherwise.

Still, mine are not perfect to everyone else, and they're not sparkling white, but for me their perfect and a million miles better than what they were before! :)

    That sounds like the ones!

I think whatever works for you, so long as you're happy with them.

I never was so now that I love them I definitely would never regret having spent the money on them at all :)

What's everyone up to this weekend?

It's very quiet round here today!

Exactly, that's the main thing. And I only did mine for myself, no one else! So I don't care what others think LOL.

This weekend I'm out tomorrow with the family, then London Sunday for my birthday! You?

Oh wow, happy birthday for Sunday!!!

Hope you have a fantastic day!

Quiet this weekend, catch up with a few friends, get some photo bits sorted out and a few bits round the flat. Oh and carribbean takeaway tonight, lovely.

Looking forward to not doing much to be honest, last weekend was hectic, too much going out and working and what felt like a perpetual hangover :rotfl:

I think I am too impatient for braces, those veneers sound good beccie, you will have to let me know where it was you went in Harley St. I would definitely want them down before I ever got married, I would want to be able to smile properly in my pics rather than clamping my mouth shut :(.

Happy Birthday for Sunday Adam , hope you have a great day!
Work for me tomorrow night, might do a quick review of my last course notes as I have another 2 days of tax on Monday/Tuesday. Our bathrooms really need a clean too and I notice the Ironing pile is growing again, sign, a womens work is never done :rotfl:

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D
