Another job?!?!?! - YOU CRAZY WOMAN!!!! :rotfl: Without sounding like your mother....just make sure you take care of yourself, the last thing we want is you getting ill from exhaustion!
The pub shift sounded awful and I feel bad about moaning at mine now, fortunately I don't have to do any cleaning of the actual pub, just the bar area as one of the other staff members does the full clean
I have my fingers crossed that your brother can see the light and make a start on getting himself back into the black, you could always send him our way!! :money:

Hi Beccie
You are making me feel soooooo lazy! I can't believe you have a third job!
Your post about mopping up pee at two in the morning gave me a giggle and your realisation that you would never have spent on your credit card if you had known this is where it would lead. If only we could see into the future!
Your mum sounds lovely!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Hey all! It's a while since I updated so thought I'd better!
Been a busy week, plenty of working and a bit too much spending too!
Took a friend out for dinner on Wed for his bday rather than buy a present although I did have a voucher that meant if you bought one main couse then you got the other for a £1, and he didn't mind!Food was lovely too.
Then yesterday was the annual 'fun day' at work. Running around all morning playing daft games and then a BBQ which cost £5 and was very nice. Then about £10 more down the pub after too. So a quiet weekend to make up for it I think. Although I am aching all over from the running round yesterday so maybe chilling will be good for me, I am so unfit!
On the unfit thing, me and the new girl who has started here are going to start going to the gym on our lunch breaks maybe 3 times a week as I have no time to go in the evenings. It's only £2 to join the gym here at work (you just pay for the membership card) and then no other fees so very MSE and gives me no excuse not to go really!
I've also been playing with some spreadsheets again - has anyone else found since they started debt-busting that they spend way too much time adjusting spreadsheets?!?! It's sad how desperate I am just to be able to make a few pennies difference! :rotfl:
So, I've re-budgeted a few bits and also worked out some stuff to keep track of. My DFD is based on me making my minimum payments of £535 and then a snowball payment of £300. My snowball will go up in September when I stop paying my sofa off. The thing is I can't pay all of my snowball off at the beginning of the month as I rely on my extra jobs to bring that money in. So I realised I needed to keep track of it to make sure that I make it every month! So far £236 of £300 so I think I will over pay my over payments this month :T
Damn that sofa - nearly 3 years on and I'm only just finishing paying. It was interest free which is good but I would think twice before making that commitment again. It occurred to me while I was in Africa that I was in the middle of the bush earning no money for 6 months paying for a stupid sofa in storage back in England which made no sense at all! :rotfl:
My debt busting plan also includes just servicing the interest on my overdrafts as they are at the lowest rate of all my debts so they only get cleared in the final couple of months. I'd like to do something towards them in the meantime though as I hate always seeing my accounts as a minus balance. I can reduce my overdraft in £50 increments, so I've decided to start saving spare change in an 'overdraft fund' so I can maybe see a little progress with those too. So far....drumroll please.... £3.15 out of £50! :rotfl:But every little helps!
Wages from pub and cleaning this week has seen a total of £92 go off the MBNA card the last couple of days
Must stop boring you all - have great weekends!Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -

Beccie I had something like that when I had my braces in to track how long I'd have to wear them for. Although that was fixed so never changed, but I guess this would change with the more/less you pay to debtAdam's diary - My Debt Diary - The Challenge | LBM May 2010 with £23,343.35 | £16,141.46 to go...

Hi Beccie, sounds like you have been very busy indeed!!
The meal voucher is a great idea, a night out is always good, especially for birthdays. The gym sounds very MSE, I wish we had something like that where I work.
I totally understand about the sofa, I think a lot of people have them on credit these days as it's seems so easy to do it but it's still a big commitment! At least it's not long until it is paid off!
£3.15 is a great start, it will be £50 before you know it

Helps me to see things in pictures like that - must be the child in me! Never had one for when I had braces though that's a good idea. I never stuck with the braces thing and ended up getting veneers instead a couple of years ago. It's easy to see how this debt mounted up isn't itDetermined_2b_Debt_Free wrote: »Oh I do like that *trots off to get herself a ticker*

Thanks Jody! Can't wait to reach that £50 and start chipping off that OD, not sure why but it's one part of my debt that really irritates me! :rotfl:Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0
