Hi everyone,
Really quick question. I've already listed a few items on ebay recently but am still really new to it all.
I was just wondering if people could take a quick look at my listings and let me know what you think about the layout etc. If you do a quick seller search for yortrend it should show me.
Naturally if there anything your interested in please feel free to bid on it. On the whole though I'm after peoples opinions and suggestions on my listings.

Yortrend I think you've put a lot of effort into them. They look well presented and professional and you seem to have covered all the bases with the P & P charges etc. Good Luck!!:)0 -

To the Op, you have obviously spent a lot of time on the listing, its well set out, easy to read and very informative. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

I think both your listings look really good, you've obviously spent a lot of time and effort on them, I hope your sales reflect the effort that you've put into your listings."I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant." :huh:0

Very simple and easy on the eye. Good use of colour too. Did you use one of ebays own templates?.
I use 'Listing Factory 2009', it has loads of free templates & you can have as many photos as you want for no cost.
HERE is the template I like.Never Knowingly Understood.

Sorry but I can see quite a few negatives on your listings that will put a lot of buyers off
There's no point offering recorded delivery. No one will take you up on it. As it's no quicker than normal mail and a buyer will have all the protection they need via paypal. Some of your text in the item descriptions is very small (looks about 6pt to me) which will put some people off reading it. As it's a used item you need to state any damage or marks on the covers/case or disc which you don't.
The use of stock photos on a used item will put some buyers off and opens you up to paypal claims. Buyers want to see good photos and descriptions of used items. If they don't they either go elsewhere or you get lower pricesReturns Policy
Unfortunately due to the nature of DVD's and other Optical Media returns will not be accepted for DVD's, CD's and PC/Console Games. Please see returns Policy for other listings separately.
That's a pointless statement. if someone wants to return an item they can just open a dispute and you will have to accept the return.
By putting no returns accepted you will more likely get customers to open a dispute rather than talk to you about any problems. From September any dispute opened will count against your seller compliance.
Your postage prices need a little looking at if you send 2nd class you can lower your primary postage price which helps you in searches and makes you look better. Media is a huge category with lots of sellers so you need to do everything to gain any advantage. Also having one standard rate for international sales will put some people off. Royal mail small packets has 2 prices europe and the rest of the world your better of listing those prices
I think you could be wasting money on your listing your dances with wolves DVD is an Auction with a BIN price. The BIN price is £7.99 plus £1 postage. I could buy a new version from Amazon with free postage for £5. I think your going to end up having to relist. I personally would have checked what other copies have sold for and listed it as a Buy it now with free postage.
Looking at the completed listings that version averages between £5 and £6 including postage. I think if your unlucky there is a good chance yours may sell for £2.99 plus a £1 postage if it sells. IMO you would be better off listing as a BIN for 30 days and if it is a competitive price it will sell.
Sorry if I sound over critical I don't mean to. But as I said media is a very competitive category and you need to do all you can to maximise yourself. Any listing you need to work on what will be your lowest price and try not to have to relist as that will cost you more money. If you sold at £2.99 including missionfish donation you will pay £1.95 in fees etc
On the plus side your template is clean and un fussy overly complicated ones can put people off.0
