MSE News: Mortgages hikes after Yorkshire/Clydesdale Bank glitch

            Hi eveyone,
I'm a little late getting in on all this. I discovered an error on my mortgage myself, long before this story hit the news. It came to my attention as I was moving home. I had to accept the hike in repayments and accepted £200 as a "goodwill gesture". I'm now nearly £4000 worse off and plan to take the matter to the FOS too. Has anyone else been in this situation and been successful in getting their money back?

Did anyone get a satisfactory resolution on this Clydesdale mistake. I have been battling this for nearly 2 years now, without very much support from the Ombudsman or Clydesdale.
A £4000 increase through no fault of my own.
I have now taken this too my local MP, legal counsel and BBC Watchdog as I have been kicked around too long.
What angers me the most is that no one and I mean no one has ever given me a satisfactory answer on why this mistake happened and who is culpable. All it has been is pay up.
This is a shocking way to do business.
I'd love to hear your stories as why on earth are we supposed to pay for their mistake.0 -
I thought this had been sorted so was surprised to find that it hadn't been. Now have another £6000 refunded to my account and almost £70 a month off my payments.weight loss target 23lbs/49lb0
