    Good evening :j

Just back from 2 days away for work, so not much DFW stuff going on

    BUT:

Breakfast, lunch, coffees etc covered by work meeting :D

Saved on car parking as OH took me to the station yesterday and picked me up today - I didn't want to leave my car in the station car park overnight, plus it saved ££ :D

HM supper - savoury mince/ bolognese stuff out of freezer with new potatoes from the garden and cabbage from bottom of fridge. Sounds a weird mixture but tasted nice :D

Watered plants, cut a huge cucumber + 1 tomato from greenhouse, a few raspberries and strawberries with ice cream for pud :T

    NSD :D

    BUT:

Car to garage in the morning for vastly expensive service

Public sector budget issues (not worried about pay freeze, more about spending review in the autumn )

On hols next week (but only actually going away for a long weekend). After that, major budget overhaul I think, to get that debt (mortgage) paid off :T

    Have a nice evening :hello:

    Morning all!
A lovely quiet free lesson before all hell breaks loose again.:o

    Today's list...
    • Brought packed lunch to work - done
    • Walk dog x3 for free exercise (one at the park) -done 2, OH will have to so the bedtime one as I'm exploding with hayfever
    • All food from stores -done
    • Try to find something not football related to do after work (its driving me bonkers and I don't generally mind sport) - had a bath and caught up on recorded soaps, OH actually playing football not watching it for a change!
    • Check banks - done
    • Check surveys done
    • Drive economically to try to eek out the petrol done
    • Enquired politely at school about when and how much I get paid - no-one seems to know! done
    • Send sister texts/phone later done
    • Do a bit of meal planning for next week around what we already have done
    • Suffer the day in work (at least it finishes at 2.30pm!) duely suffered!
    • Get OH to empty hoover (dust sets me off with allergies) done miraculously!
That's it for today - have a good one - will drop back later for a nose!

Seem to have been quite productive - need to think about budgets again soon - may be the next big project.
  • oooo forgot to say I also went and saw the payroll guy and he told me he has almost finished the figures for the nat insurance overpayment, is finishing it off on Monday and will email me and tell me what the figure is I will be getting a rebate for from Inland Rev next Wednesday :j anything £400+ will make me soooooo happy (although lets call a spade a spade 50 quid would make me happy!)

When its Dark look for Stars
  • hello all who are still up!!

I'm late on as usual.. Working really hard at the moment - worked solidly all weekend ( no extra pay jsut preperation for a big presentaion i had to do) HAve worked 2 hours over time tonight and am thinking about how to bring forward my debt free date as its likely my job will go in April as part of the council cuts, sadly my OH works for the council too so we need to get on top of things - I can do supply teaching in schools if my job goes so need to make sure I just have house bills and mortgage as from April. Need to make some serious savings and am thinking sharing lifts with My Oh will help a lot so plan to look at our work schedule to make sure we can reduce costs.
Food costs has to decrease now - I'm thinking to start buying 2 of long lasting stuff that carries VAt at the moment such as dishwasher tablets, washing powder softner bin bags loo roll etc etc and build up a supply ( have huge Garage). most of my debts are interest free until january - so i wouldn't be saving interst by paying the money offf my debts...
Let me know if you think its a good idea or whether the increase is so minumal that it won't make that much differenct to prepare!!

Need to have a lok at my spending plan now... see you all tomororo
    Baby due 4th May 2013
    January grocery challenge £200
