Tues 22nd June - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
:D
Goooooood morning today...hope it's a sunny one wherever you are:T
It's rather quiet here without my youngest...she went to IOW yesterday for the week with school. Think they've picked a lovely week for it! Will enjoy the time on my own with dd1;)
So...no plans really for today, must rest a bit as I've felt a little achy, where the surgery was, so will have a lazy day. Have a meeting at dd1's school about her school trip to Germany next month.....it's all go for these kids:rotfl:
Big waves to all you regulars and welcome to any new posters....stick with us, it DOES work:D:D
Ok, list for me:

Hello Milly, La E & Fay & all that follow! Milly hope ur not missing dd too much
, La E what discipline you have! And Fay OMG when I unpacked my bag on Sunday I hadn't used 50% of the clothes I took
Realised yesterday that I volunteered to work Sat when I didn't actually need to :eek: (I thought I was in arrears on my timesheet so cancelled the temp and put myself in before working out my timesheet) First thing on today's list is to see if I can get out of it! yay got out of it :j:j
Ok was hugely motivated yesterday (the nearer I get to DFD the easier and more enjoyable it becomes). so on with today:

- write letter to dd's SW in lunch break(really not impressed by a letter she sent me last week so I will respond with an equally benign letter of my own - not very assertive/mature but there you go small pleasures!
) luckily I was busy at work so did not do this. After a bit of time to reflect realise this is not the way to work with her for the benefit of dd - I'm too fiesty for my own good at times

- bought mint from farmers market to make pimms to celebrate with oh (pimms in the cupboard
), as it was the end of the day I asked for an "end of the day" reduction and got 20p off so it was 70p (fay don't screem at me I know I should grow it!!)
- also got a free cucumber, for above said pimms, as the market had sold out so asked the restuarant if they had a bit I could have and they gave me a whole one :T
- made £1.50 from getting duty free tobacco for a colleague
- [STRIKE]Will update my signiture accordingly to reflect additional £1.50! [/STRIKE]

Morning all,
been missing for a few days from here, ironically too much to do! :rotfl: And feeling a little overwhelmed today, despite the sunshine. The kind of overwhelmed that leaves you not able to do anything much, and therefore the list just keeps getting longer...
Anyway, so here it is, and I'm hoping to cross at least most of it off, if not all of it!
* washing on and hung up outside
* put carpet on attic stairs (it's only carpet tiles, so won't take long, but will look FAB!)
* next stage of bathroom DIY (kind of got sidetracked by more cheery job on attic stairs :rotfl:)
* water garden
* plant out rocket
* repot beetroot
* check library books due dates
* write PhD section
* 1 hour transcribing work
* meet friend for nice cup of tea :j
* pick up prescription
* surveys
* take money for week out of bank
* ring O2 to see why my phone won't send texts... :mad:
* meeting tonight
Think that's it! Shouldn't be too difficult.... Good luck today all! :j0 -
I am sick...I (wide awake fae the natural emetic onion juice) did a whoopsie last night and bought a bag on ebay (expensive) when I don't even know it's size :eek:.
Got my mop this am - vileda supermocio for £3.99....just need nylon brush. Got my microfibre cloths for windows@ 69p ea :j.
Back on cigs due to lack of sleep...
Easy day today (need sleep - have docs @ 12.15 for chest)
Got cheap bread from Mr. S last night when sad....
So have lunches...and a little lentils so we will eat today...tomorrow I can food shop
