Can anyone suggest any decent alternatives to limewire?

I use Demonoid, never had a virus in 4 years. This is due to the fact that you have to be given an invitation by a member.0

It took 5!
And a legal way of listening to music could be spotify open: limited amount of hours per months but still legal.0 -
Interestingly, post 6 is from someone called Mr_Oink.
@ ScotsBob - Anyone can get into Demonoid, without an invite, surely? Last time I knew, they opened registrations at the start of every month for a day or 2. That's why it's considered in no way private or secure.
I agree with others though, if it's music you're after then Spotify has an impressive selection. Especially non-mainstream stuff. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -

Many Mp3s have had trojans attached:idea:0 -

Thats something id love to know myself
Really not sure, but ive come across them many times. And they must execute somehow as thats the only variable in some of the tests
Limewire is by FAR the worst P2P for infection via MP3 ive come across:idea:0 -
Possibly they have fake DRM or are renamed asf/qt files that asks the user to download a tool in order to play them, which then turns out to be a trojan, but that's not the same as an mp3 having a trojan. It's an opt-in trojan, and if you fall for that you pretty much deserve the virus.
Feel free to correct me if there's an "mp3 trojan" method I've not heard of.
I'd be inclined to say that anyone getting viruses via downloading something illegal from p2p deserves it. Poetic justice indeed. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
Its ages since ive dealt with them so its a bit out of memory now. But the last guy I dealt with said all he did was play them on WMP.
Maybe he did try to download something to play it, I couldnt say for sure:idea:0
