Please obtain proof of posting and let me know when item has been sent. Thanks
Now does that say i'm going to claim INR or is it just me?

If they're going to claim INR, why would they ask you to get proof of postage. They'd rather be hoping you don't.0

My theroy being they would get their money back through pp and i would claim back from RM that way they don't feel so bad about ripping a seller off?
Their last fb left said, 'seller refunded quickly when item went missing with RM'
Just makes me think i should send it recorded to save me the grief of having to claim, it's only £6ish but still.0 -

With that in their FB as much as I don't normally use recorded I would actually send it RD.0 -
I always send recorded, stops all the scammers bidding as they know there is little chance of a successful INR claim.Never Knowingly Understood.

Then your items are much more expensive AND it doesn't stop the scammers. Recorded delivery is a farce. There are heaps of threads on here showing it doesn't track, what's more, if it doesn't show as tracking, you will lose Paypal disputes, but to add insult to injury RM will use their own internal tracking to say it did get delivered, so your claim will not be paid.
If it's less than £41 in value, send it normal post. Any more, then use a courier or Special Delivery.0 -
To be honest I sometimes add this to a message when buying, especially if the listing does not state they plan to get POP, I just assumed it would make it easier in the event of the item not turning up?0

It's up to the seller to get the item to you though so up to them if they choose to get a pop or not. You'd still get a refund if INR so makes no difference to the buyer if the seller hasn't got one.
I never put in my listings that i'm going to get a pop just makes me more likely to look like a seller that doesn't know the rules of ebay/pp land!
The note looks like the buyer thinks they know better than the seller and is a tad insulting when you have a few thousand fb's :rotfl:0 -
We'll normally leave a similar comment to that if a seller says something didn't turn up.lindseykim13 wrote: »Their last fb left said, 'seller refunded quickly when item went missing with RM'
"Quick payment, sorry it got lost in the post" or words to that effect.
Obviously, if they're not out to scam sellers it's just an apology, but if they are, it serves as a warning to their future sellers too (assuming they check the near-worthless buyer feedback before posting).Back on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.
