Sue BT for incompetance?

Hi
Any forum members have experience of seeking compensation from BT.
Last week they disconnected our Business broadband account even though we had contacted them a week earlier to say a threat they had sent us was wrong (account was in credit - their record weren't) and was being sent to a business address we hadn't occupied for over 18 months. Was guaranteed by one of their staff that this was an error at their end and the disconnection would not go ahead.
Needless to say they went ahead and disconnected our account - has left the office without email and web access for 5 days now and no signs of reconnection. Naturally BT Broadband are blaming BT Telephony and BT Telephony claim it's nothing to do with them.
Any advice on how best to gain some sort of recompense for this? Or any other ways I can waste their time in the same way they are wasting mine?
Thanks

Pursue it a little further directly with BT, then once you've exhausted the options with them you are well within your rights to get the ombudsman involved, OFCOM can investigate and it will be resolved, any monies owed to you will be compensated by BT£4988 Lloyds TSB Mastercard
£400 O/D Lloyds TSB
£2650 Lloyds TSB Loan
£5070 Black Horse Finance
Skint, but I have a plan.... an MSE Plan!!!0
