Exactly mrs Ids..apparantly by the sounds of it, cos i'v not posted 9 billion posts, i have a cheek asking if anyone has some free tickets..which makes me wonder WHY would anyone GET these tickets IF they know that they are not going????..maybe to try and sell on, methinks...i am a fan of the band, and was asking if no one needs them, if i could bags them...is that wrong...?

Just ignore them, no one has any more of a right to anything on here due to the length of time they have been posting!

I think the point being made here is that this forum is all about contribution, you put in what you get out. Along come all these people that have supposedly lurked and are suddenly lured out by a freebie. Were they lured out to thank a poster that posted a great deal? Nope. When they found a great deal did they post it and share it with everyone else? Nope. They sat and watched and didn't participate until there was something in it for them.

And thats why the phrase "Long time lurker" does little for me.
  • I think it is a little sad that sometimes offers bring out the worst in people.

I know that sometimes people are lucky and things 'fall into their laps' but other times people like me and many others vigilantly watch this site and others for bargains to share. Many people would have tried to get tickets hoping that they would be able to use them and when they couldn't they have offered them up here; we have a choice on who to pass them onto and can choose established members rather that newbies. People who are new are chancing their luck which is what many of us longer members do with 'glitches'. Let's just try and be nice it's a lovely day and it costs us nothing.

p.s. I gave my tickets to 2 long servers and neither of them could find the thanks button - so there a go!

p.p.s. going to run and hide now.

I understand this. I gave some away on Friday, they didn't hit thanks button but did sort of say thanks and that they would enjoy them... But no message today to say thanks we had a nice/ lovely / or even a terrible time etc.... I would have it were me as think it's polite to.
They've been on too. Posting eat half 8 this morning :(
Never mind I just hope they enjoyed it, it was v painful for me to give them away!!

P.s now I shall run and hide!!

It's such a shame that this thread has really upset some people new and old.....I am relatively new, got Bon Jovi tickets and am still grateful to the OP and hit thanks as soon as I found the post and posted a message after.

Quick search on Google and this thread comes up.

If you were a fan and came across the chance of free tickets would you not try your luck ???

Hopefully like I have all the other new people will start posting their own deals/competitions etc and not be put off by feeling they are not welcome! This site is only so great because of the goodwill of all the posters, long may it continue!!

Exactly. I gave away 4 tickets yesterday, but only to people who had actually bothered with this site before these tickets came along. If that makes me a bit of a biatch, so be it. In my world, you get what you give.
