Such an Idiot!

I am such an idiot :rotfl:

The last 2 things i was waiting for payment for from back at the beginning of august finally paid by paypal yesterday, so i sent them off yesterday afternoon. They were both really similar box set dvds same size same weight etc.
This muppet only goes and gets the addresses muddled up :o
Thank god there are some understanding ebay buyers out there! Had one contact me by email to let me know he had recieved the wrong one just requested both of there contact details and rang them both to explain and they have agreed to send the items to each other rather than sending them back to me, i told them i would refund their postage costs to send them on and they both told me not to worry :o

I cant believe how stupid i have been but i thought it made a nice change to here something good about buyers on here rather than always being problems with them :rotfl:

Oh and for the record i have 4 to relist due to NPB's (who i happily gave them all big fat negatives yesterday :D ) and once they have gone i give up selling on ebay! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Lol,

At least the buyers sound like they were pretty understanding about the situation! The majority of ebayer are great and understanding etc - its just a minority that spoil things for the others!

I think I too would pack up ebay after the experiences you have been having lately too!

  • :rotfl: Oh dear, you don't seem to have much luck with eBay.

At least they were very understanding about the mistake :)

I did exactly the same last year and with a DVD too. I posted one off and realised when I got home I had posted the wrong one, so immediately emailed the guy who said he would post it on for me.

I refunded £1.50 to his paypal account to cover posatge and he refunded me right back, lol.

There are some good sellers/buyers out there ... it's just forums usually get the bad stories and not always the good.

(Maybe I'm just lucky, but I've NEVER had a NPB yet or any dispute whatsoever on over 500 transactions ... I love eBay)

I rarely get NPBs either, I think the last one was about 300-400 transactions ago. I do get the ocassional slow payer, usually someone who pays by cheque and puts a letter in it asking for it to be posted immediately, but i suppose 99.9% of my auctions are paid by paypal within 48 hours.

    Soo

I got 2 teapots muddled up, one was to a UK address, the other was Australia, it cost me almost £50  to get the wrong one back and send the right one out again plus the same process with the UK one

I think its much more down to the type of items you sell... some things attract NPB's more than others and obviously some items attract different sorts of people.

For instance you are more likely to have problems with Pop CD's (that attract younger people etc) than Country CD's that attract older more "experienced" and dare i say "respectful" people.

My OH used to sell lots of craft items and never had any NPB's in 100+ auctions, I go and list a 3 computer games and get 2 NPB's!!!!!!
