What number do i ring to check my line?

I`ve tried 151 but it says contact your i.s.p.(aol.).I`m only getting 400 kbps when i should be on 2mb.Equipments fine and set up correctly so i need to ask bt to test my line.

Im sure your ISP has to ask for the line to be tested, has AOL throttled your speed for some reason , is it a new account , some more info would ne helpfull

i was on aol platinum and my line was enabled for 5mb,however i was only getting about 1.3mb so i downgraded to gold which should be a constant 2mb.Now though i only get about 420kbps.i`ve run the bt tests on their site and it also shows between 350 and 420 kbps.aol won`t elevate the problem to bt because its not constantly below 400kbps.Before my line was converted to adsl max i was getting about 1.4mb all day long!A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.

It could be to do with ADSL max as it has caused alot of problems with peoples speed, or it could be AOL capping the connection, im with AOL and i connect at 6.5mb as im on adsx max but can only surf and download at 1mb as AOL have capped the service as im paying for Silver 1mb.
I would go to https://www.adslguide.org and post in there forums as there are alot of people on there who could help you out better as im no expert 0 -
