Bidder bid by mistake

I'm selling an item on ebay and the highest bidder has just emailed me to tell me that she has bid on my item by mistake as they are not her size. she first bid on day 3 of a 10 day listing and has only realised 10 hours before the item ends. Since her highest bid is around what the item goes for I have lost half my watchers so if I cancel her bid it would take my item down to less than half its value. I dont know what I should do, should I let the item run its course and hope she's outbid or let her win and re-list.

Thanks for any helpO.M.G. I have just come on here to settle my bills etc, and noticed that my worst nightmare was happening, (and pobabley yours) only I am bidding up to £56.13 max on your georgeus shoes, you might have seen, they are up to £51 now. Only problem is I'm a size 8...its my daughter whose a 7 and she really has peeked at the label "TERRIBLE TEENS". I'm truely sorry and your not the first note I've had to write, but I just haven't got that sort of money, the only thing I could hope for, for your sake, is someone likes them that much too. I realise you will have to complain to ebay, but if you have to put them in again, please let me refund any expenses that you incur.
I truly am sorry for this inconveniance, and hope, that it gets sorted. Please let me know how things are going and sorry. H.
Sarah

If you let her win and relist you would still have to pay final value fees. She is able to cancel her own bid if she wants. It's only day 3 cancel her bid and block her. It's not worth the hassle if she happened to win0

You could open an NPB but that doesn't really get you anywhere and also means buyer can leave you feedback.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Just Cancel her bid. She's been honest. Its not like it's in the last couple of days. If she knew ebay properly she would know she is able to cancel her own bid. If you don't cancel it your just asking for problems0 -

Sorry my mistake. Would still stick with my advice. Letting it run is asking for trouble0 -
I reckon you should cancel her bids.....0

Thanks everyone for their advice, i've lost so many watchers since she bid that I doubt i'll get what we're hoping to get from the auction.:heart2:My gorjus twinnies are 2 years old:heart2:

You may still get what you want, without the hassle. Don;t forget to block her from bidding on your items again. On her feedback, does she usually buy the size you're selling?0
