Having looked at lots of reviews we finally decided on the Iberostar Bavaro as it has great reviews on tripadvisor and was AI with firstchoice for £1400, which seemed like a really good price. Unfortunately between me dithering about the resort and trying to organise lastminute childcare etc, when we went to book it, we missed the deal by minutes and it's no longer available.

So we're looking at going a week later 7th July which is a little more expensive (£1520).

I really appreciate everyone's input and will post back to say what we've booked and how we find it when we get there.

How did you get on with quotes etc? It's worth trying Carribean Warehouse, Portland Direct (part of Thomson), and the Coop Holidays aswell as you might get a good deal.. Sorry you missed out on such a good deal, that's annoying hey!!) Also as another poster mentioned the Beat my Quote forum here :cool2:

I am looking at the Dominican for me, my wife and daughter who will be nearly 4 by the time we go. Looking at July next year, 2 weeks and all inclusive. What are the best places and what price can I expect as budget is between £2k and 2.5k
