Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Oven and hob degrotting!
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..
Extras- Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms, and any other glass!
- Dust/clean/wash any blinds or curtains
- HHI .. bit of a catch up!!
- Sort your drawer of large cutlery things.. slotted spoons, spatulas.. clean out the drawer, flin the things you don't need/use and make it all neat and tidy!
Happily I was planning to do a bit of a tidy in the dining-room this evening, and scrub down the cooker-hob before making tea too, so it all kinda fits in nicely - but even if not, I'm finding more getting done in the house of a day. And to be honest, I'm not really noticing that I'm "losing" any spare time over it - which is a good thing.
But there must be something sticking - yesterday I found myself scrubbing out the bath and wash basin; I'd only gone in the bathroom to change the towels.......
Joy of the day to you, boys and girls0 -
afternoon all,
I feel a bit more alive now i've had something to eat. I'm going to do a HHC at 12.30 if anyone wants to join me? Then i need to get Ds2 ready for sports day.0 -
I'll join you holly. I've made good progress this morning. So far I have washed the car, had the WM on twice with the 2nd lot on the line now. First lot is folded and partly put away, online banking checked and shuffled. Interspersed with this I have been starting to clear our bedroom, it has become the floordrobe for us all with clean clothing piled up everywhere
It is getting a bit tedious sorting this now and clearing the room at the same time so a HHC will keep me motivated for that bit longer.

Afternoon all
Lovely day, one load of washing out on the line and all the curtains pulled to keep the dog cool!
Kitchen/diner done and I've also done the living room and vacuumed up the stairs, cleaned the computer desk and vacuumed the hallway.
Just catching up until it's time to start cooking. Hope everyone's OK.0 -

Don't do an hour!!
Do 15 minutes then stop for a half hour break.. then do another 15 minutes etc...
Most manage because they have been here ages and it is more about maintaining what they have already achieved if that makes sense.. ?
You'll get there.. it took more than an hour to get messy!!
Thank you. I am trying to pace myself I just see so much that needs doing that I try to get it all done at once.
It makes me feel better that it took others a while to get it done.
You would be surprised how much mess my family can make in an hour:eek:You learn to love to liveYou fight and you forgiveYou face the darkest nightJust live before you die0 -
OK, builder has been decluttered, gate is fixed, loaf is in oven, coq au vin has been made for tonight.
Flying?
Um. I've cleaned two loos.....and put all the washing up away.
Lunch, I think: then try again.... And I was *so* determined to do better, as well...

A darn sight less than mine I would guess!!
I have been tidying and flinging for about 10 years and the house is still full of stuff!
I appear to have grown a nest of bees... now wasps just get extermiinated but !!!!!! do you do with bees???
Work surface of doom half decluttered in the kitchen.. I have a binbag of bedding for my sis, a carrier for nursery, filled the recycle box.. that OH had literally JUST emptied.. thankfully the big bin is being emptied tomorrow as it is overflowing. Half a binbag for DS1 and a pile of clothes to put away!
Decluttered a magnum.. NOM!
Just off to put the gammon in the SC for tonight.. and then I'll have laundry to hang out. I need to sort a repair on the old WM though as the door hinge is buckled and it has decided to leak all over the floor!
All the washing from the bathroom and girls room and my room has been shifted downstairs..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Mmm not so productive but I did package up the ebay sales which necessitated changing the printer ink!
Also hung some more washing out and dealt with the post.
