  • Happy anniversary, Cally! And well done on 24 yrs ... big one next year!

    Well, I've scooted around like a mad thing, but done very little:

    * Worked out what to eat tonight and got out chicken pieces to defrost
    * Sorted out the very last of the shallots (from the garden last year) and decluttered them from store in the cellar. Peeled about 35 (they are now the very tiddly ones left, that I couldn't be bothered with before!). Looks like coq au vin for tea... there's a bit of bacon left in the fridge!
    * made a loaf of half-and-half bread and set it to rise
    * put loo cleaner down the loos to get on with it
    * emptied the dishwasher
    * opened the g/house

    That's it! And not a lot of true flying in there, although decluttering the shallots must count for something (it's *rather* like sorting use by things in the fridge, no? And that's on the list!;))

    Must get back on with the kitchen now - quick half hour tidying and wiping, then coffee on the patio I think, and dead-head my pots...

    Don't do an hour!!

    Do 15 minutes then stop for a half hour break.. then do another 15 minutes etc...

    Most manage because they have been here ages and it is more about maintaining what they have already achieved if that makes sense.. ?

    You'll get there.. it took more than an hour to get messy!!

  • Well! That didn't go to plan, did it?

    Managed to wash up loads of stuff (from the weekend... ooops :o) and wipe the cooker top, and then an odd-job-man we know popped round to mend the gate (been promising for ages) - so that was greet-chat-cuppa-chat-explainwhatneedsdoing-chat time for rather longer than I wanted...

    Hmm. And he's standing right next to the pots I was going to dead-head, so I'll have to find something else to do or I'll never get *anything* done (and they say *we ladies* talk, huh? :cool:)

    Off to empty the airing cupboard; then I'll wipe over the kitchen cupboards while the bread's cooking
