    Arggh just lost post...

    the gist

    mummyof5..being hit = not acceptable...suggest a quiet word tomorrow and a consequence...this stops NOW.
PIGGERS STOP BEING STUBBORN. keyworkers can probably access things that your children need far quicker than you...it's their job. They'll probably be able to provide more than you give them credit for... some people want to support and help.

I was going to bring you an emergency pack of fishfingers and noodles but I'm not sure you deserve any with all your chuntering.:p

    a late evening catch up!!!!

I have had a fab day - didnt get home until about 9.30!
we had a super picnic by a river on the edge of a forestry walk - sat at picnic table with our spread laid out before us and kept saying 'what more could you want':rotfl: it was a beautiful day and peaceful and we chatted for ages.
Oh and I saw my first Osprey!

Went back and pottered in her garden and had a look at some things on ebay for her and then had late tea - I am shattered but in a nice way:D

Triker (((hugs))) what a worrying time for LA people - I do hope you job is safe
newlywed (((hugs))) hope the strike does the trick
toochoosey you have been a busy bee:T and very well done with the weight loss:T
soappie yay they are soooooooo cute - what are foing to call them?
mudders what about stripes - you never mentioned poppy puppy dog:(:( thats fantastic news all round especially your weight loss and DS's lack of pain - wonderful news:T
mummyyof5 huge squishy (((hugs))) angel - as I understand it they gey EMA only for when they attend - if she thinks they have short ghanged her then SHE needs to go to the office and complain/sort it out IMHO - surely there is some register taken or something that proves she was there or not - sorry to be cynical but is she mad because she got found out? perhaps she thought she had found some way of making it look as if she was there but it has backfired (maybe a friend covering for her?)- she def should not be taking it out on you and I totally agree that you should not be giving her money.
when you have her in the car tomorrow and she is a 'captive' audience I would be telling her (calmly) that her abusive behaviour is not acceptable expecially her hitting you and that you wont accept it happening agin - IMHO (bearing in mind I have no kids)you need to make her aware that you wont tolerate it in any way because if she thought you had 'let' her off with hitting you she will do it again!
I wouldn't go back to do my 6th form and was told in no uncertain terms that I would not be lazing around at home if I was not going back to school then I had to find a job as I would have to pay my way at home - i found a job!!!!

claret (((hugs))) hope you have a btter day tomorrow - its not always easy to let things pass over you - we are all inclined to take things personally at times.

    pigpen a good meeting then:p:D

had a message from natty to say her DH is off this week so they have been busy and so she hasnt done much flying and not had a chance to post - she is very tired too.

I didnt get much done this morning before E arrived - just some daillies and the gardener was here so my wee patch is looking good.

I went onto another thread - cant even remember what it was now but I ended up getting sidetracked onto 2 other threads - there are some really nasty people posting out there - some of the language was totally uncalled for and it became a personal attack on a poster - I tried to find my way back to report the post and couldnt find the post and then i realised it must have been reported by someone else and already removed!
PenPen - I am not sure how to suggest this - and it may not be possible - when a post is removed could they just remove the users ID and the content of the post (maybe replace it with THIS POST HAS BEEN REMOVED BY ABUSE) so that others can see it has been dealt with - I was getting mighty confused and went through pages of a thread trying to find the post! Do you understand what i am trying to say?

ok it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay past my bedtime so i must go.

will be back to flying tomorrow.

love and hugs to everyone especially Diva and LadyL - has anyone spotted her on the TV!!:rotfl: hope she is behaving with Brandon!!

    toots xx
    Peace will be mine

DD2 has been horrid today...she says she doesnt really want to go back to college ( I say she has to).....but has no idea what else to do...isnt even attempting to get a Saturday job or anything but I am the worst parent as I am refusing to give her money for bus fares etc she was in a foul mood today as she has no EMA again this week as they say she wasnt at College on Thursday so I got the blame as she says she was there, they sent a letter yesterday but I have recycled it (been collected today) and because she hasnt seen it Im lying and she actually thumped me in the arm...I was really shocked and to be honest didnt know how to react...so ignored it but it has really upset me....sorry for the long waffle but helps to clear my head...OH has been told but he wont do anything ...he never has.

    Love to all xx

Mummyof5 sending you big(((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))) I think you do need to speaak to her though otherwise she will think she has got away with it and might do it again.

Oh yeah.. I have been asked if I want a keyworker.. erm.. no.. I am articulate enough to get across what I want.. it is th eservices that think bcause I don't have a keyworker or SW I am not having anything that would benefit the children!

Anyhoo.. I have been asked to email my gripes to the head of childrens services.. PHNARR!!!!!!!!! And get the GP to refer to disability services (unless the podiatrist can do it next week.. I'll ask) and failing that ring them myself and see where we can get assistance.. I am feeling stroppy.. I hate hotness.

I referred DS to disability services myself all I had to do was ring them and explain DS problems so I would try that all you need is the phone number for childrens disability's team and have about half an hour free to be able to talk to them :D

  • Can't believe it - called my neighbour who looks after DD2 for me sometimes when I'm at tutorials and asked if she felt like going up to Camden for a peek at their Lockstock Festival - and she promptly informed her OH 'you've got the kids - I'm going out' - so we spent the evening with an ice cold beer/cider in her case [bleurgh] in front of a live band :D with some old guy really going for it with the dancing, along with some lads who thought it would be funny to join in :D:D

Then came back and stopped off at the local for another little drink:D :D:D

AND I had my first bass lesson today. Never even touched one before. The teacher alleges that in my first half hour, I had shot through his usual first five lessons :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Sooooo silly, but as soon as he handed me the bass, it felt right.

Now to work out how to save £350 in the next few weeks to buy my own. I think I shall have to

adjust my coffee habit to every other week (which also cuts out pastries) = £20
stick moglets on Go Cat rather than Iams in the morning = £20
change moglets' posh nosh for whatever is on offer = £10
get small crate of dinky Belgian beer rather than single bottles for fridge = £10
actually drink the first cup of tea I make, rather than the 5th, having let all the others get cold = £5
stay away from the takeaways = £50 (and probably a million calories)
cut out the fancy cpra from the shopping order. = £100 (easily)

Right, what else can I do?

    - - - - -

Oh yeah - get the place ready for DD2's return from school holiday tomorrow.

    Flying.

    Meh.

By the way, if I had ever been hit by DD1 (bearing in mind I have never laid a finger on her in her life, even when bawling her out, my elbows stayed tucked in at my sides and my hands waved around a bit), my next action would be to

stop her in the hallway - where the walls mean she could not get past me -
and get within her personal space, but not right up in her face -
and state, very, very clearly but in a very low tone

'If you EVER lay one hand on me again in your life, I WILL return it with INTEREST. You DO NOT EVER hit me again, you UNDERSTAND?' [pause for nod from DD1] 'DO I make myself clear?' [nod] 'Good'.

and then walk away and not mention it again.

DD1 may be a cow, but she has never tried hitting me - I suspect that she knew there was a sizeable chance that she would end up in an undignified (but uninjured) heap on the floor, thanks to kickboxing lessons (and too many years dealing with 6 foot plus of aggressive drunk to be intimidated by 5 foot 8 of hormonal strop)

Time to try and crash. I did another two nights with no sleep and I am getting fed up with it now.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
