Anyway just been plodding on this morning, DS2s sports day at 1pm which I must cover up for as I sizzled my chesticles yesterday. My friends ended up moving out with police support last night, she's staying at someones house for now but at least I know she is safe.
Love the term "chesticles"
Glad your friend is safe :AJojo_the_Tightfisted wrote: »Managed 12 hours' sleep in the end.
A friend gave me some valerian tea today, to help me sleep, so I'm having that later :beer:longtermlurker wrote: »PenelopePenguin I think it was you:o I do try to get them all to join in but sometimes it's just easier to do it myself. They empty the DW, put their own washing away and tidy their own rooms so am getting there.
It was me
It might be easier for you to do it all in the short term, but in the long term it'll be loads easier for you to get them to help - start with a quick 10min Challenge and see how much you all get done :T
A friend of mine isn't going to Glastonbury this year, as he usually does. He has the week off at home, though, so we're all imagining him not washing, using wet wipes only, eating from tins, not shaving, wearing wellies at all times, and rolling in mud in the garden, just to give himself an authentic vibe :rotfl::rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

I was also well miffed - the official opening of the centre was yesterday and we weren't even told - it was in the paper today and on the TV last night apparently - none of the volunteers or day-patients were asked or told about it - only 90 assorted bigwigs! (and only some of the staff)
We have all been waiting for the opening since last year and wondering who was going to do it.
*rant over*
Enjoy the necklace :A I'm  on your behalf :mad:I think they should prosecute the parents for negligence!!! They either knowingly allowed their daughters to have sex or did not properly supervise them allowing it to happen.. That did NOT go down well when I said it to the mum of the youngest girl in this country to have a baby.. she was 11 and 3 months when her daughter was born.. the dad was 14. The mother had allowed them to sleep together in her house because 'at least she knew where they were' I said she should have been more concerned about what they were doing than where they were given the situation she allowed her daughter to get into.. I also found a lot of the time it was the mothers who WANTED the daughters to have a baby so they could have a new toy.. Totally irresponsible parenting.
I also know someone who was a grandmother at 27!
What she said :T
As for being a grandma at 27 - I'm 46 and nowhere near ready
