Ugghh. I hate that. I wouldn't buy anything that was hung on the washing line. It may be just me but I also hate it when people are wearing their clothes, it really puts me off. I don't want to see what it looked like preworn.
I won't buy any clothing that has been photograhed on a laminated/wooden/tiled floor - especially if the clothing is light coloured!!

I tend to search for bundles of clothes instead of just individual items, although not sure which sells best.

And offer to combine postage for people who buy more than one item.

Make sure the photos are in focus, and take them in natural day light if possible.

And sometimes it's helpful if a seller puts their own size, and says if it's loose or tight fit.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

This is a really useful thread as I have a box of items in my living room that have sat for weeks waiting to be listed. this thread has given me even more reason to procrastinate while I wait for the holy grail of ebay presentation. hooray, guilt no more!!

Another tip for skirts or dresses is to spread the skirt part out if its the style. I find they end slightly higher than a on a dummy pic. Always use your best pic as the gallery one.

Always check what's in the background of pics, reflections , dirty kitchens or just normal clutter can be distracting and off-putting.

If you are planning on doing this as a business, then it would also be worthwhile investing in a 'light tent' and some studio lights. The softly diffused light can really make an item stand-out, but make sure to use contrasting back-cloths (ie don't use a white cloth for white/cream/beige item). The better the picture, the higher the chance of bagging a sale.
