Any rumours when sky will drop the £10 fee for HD? With free-sat hear now i would have thought fairly soon.

Not sure, but I agree with you. Don't think the 10er charge is sustainable. It shouldn't be very long befoer it's ditched.

Remember SKY+ was originally an extra 10er and they ditched that before too long.

Not a chance. They are now offering the £300 Sky+HD box at £49 and it has to be paid for somehow.

The £300 box is being paid in the fact that to keep the sky+ main features you either have to stay a member of Sky family or pay them £10 a month. About the £10 HD I can see it becoming like Multi-room subscription. where it will have two prices, Free / £5 if you dont have movies / sports. But £10 if you have sports / Movies. Since one reason for the big push to PLus is that if get as many ppl as possible on Plus system as I said above it more likely tie them to Sky, get box cheaper in mass volume, and make support cheaper. The Installer for my dad said Sky is phasing out the normal boxes. (non Plus ones.)

dude's call them and say you want to cancel and when asked why, tell them that you do not think they are looking after you and that virgin is offering a much better deal for the same as you pay for them. i did this and with in 1min they gave me a sky+ box free and i only had to pay half the installation fee of £30. cool stuff, you pay every month!!!! so get something back.
