So, presumably you have the main key, so the car isn't completely unuseable? I'm afraid it can be quite expensive to replace car keys these days. First try the Skoda dealer, who will probably want over £100, but still worth a try. Then have a ring round local independent key cutters to get quotes. You need to find one that can do transponder (the expensive bit!) car keys - some only do house and old non transponder car keys. You may also be able to get it cheaper by buying a blank key off ebay, and having a local key cutter programme and cut it for you.0

The key will have to come from Skoda and will probably not be cheap - but if you get a good independent garage with skills to code it into the car for you, you could save some money.
Get a quote from a dealership and an independent to see how they compare - and make sure the independent is competent at coding the key in!Genie

In reply to all three posts above;
You wont be able to 'get a locksmith to help', as the key is almost certainly laser cut and not an external, copyable-just-by-looking version.
You wont be able to get a good local indepeandant to do it either, as the alarm/immobiliser code is downloaded onto the car's computer direct from Skoda so no-one else will be able to that im afraid.
Dont buy off eBay because that is a false economy, as they dont work. We recently tried that for a customer who had a 15year old car and didnt want to spend lots of money on it, but the key didnt work & it took us 3 attempts (2hours) to convince the customer he'd have to buy the genuine one! He actually spent more money on the eBay version and the 2hrs labour than a new key would've cost! No you don't need to go to the dealer Any auto locksmith worth there salt can do there I do them day in day out. Yes it will need coding in. if you dont have the key code they will decode the lock either by stripping the lock or using a decoding tool find the shape of the key.
If you need more info PM me I will give you some phone numbers of locksmiths in your area.0 -
The lock barrels on a Felicia are relatively easy to change DIY. Main barrier is the immobiliser. It definitely does have an immobiliser integrated into the key, without being coded the engine will start then cut out a short time after.0
